  1. I'm selling my trusty Teradek Bolt 2000. I have paired it with a Paralinx Tomahawk 2 which I will also include in this sale. The two systems work together and create a 2:1 system. I'm asking $3000 for this kit which includes: - Bolt Pro 2000 transmitter - Bolt Pro 2000 receiver - Paralinx Tomahawk 2 Receiver - (2) transmitter antennas - (10) receiver antennas - (4) 2 pin to d tap - (1) 2 pin to AC power - (3) BNC cables -- I can throw in additional if needed
  2. It's time to part with my Zephyr. This rig has served me well but I have since upgraded and do not need it around anymore. The rig is in great condition and I've added some nice pieces to the kit over the years. Price: $7,000 OBO + buyer pays shipping Rig is located in Seattle. Local pickup preferred of course, but I'm happy to ship within the US. It all fits in one Thermodyne case quite neatly. SLED: Steadicam Zephyr sled (AB mount) - Digital Horizon Leveler for the Marshall monitor. This thing is very handy and helps keep the horizons on point for both the x and y. They do not make these anymore and this is the only leveler I've ever seen of this type. - Larger Skymagic Gimbal wrap - Skymagic monitor yoke, easier to manipulate than the original (but will include the original bracket as well) - Steadicam dovetail ARM: Steadicam Zephyr Arm - Payload of 30 lbs, I've flown Amira, Alexa mini, RED, Canon, Sony on this sled with no problems. I never pushed the arm to it's limit VEST: Zephyr vest - Comfortable vest! EXTRAS: - (2x) 4 pin xlr to 3 pin lemo camera power (1 short, 1 longer) - Alexa power cable to lemo - RED power cable to lemo - lemo to d-tap breakout - Low mode monitor bracket - Walter Klassen Hardmount bracket for Zephyr (just need doughty clamp to rig to a rickshaw or speedrail) - Cam Jam low mode monitor bracket Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
  3. Thanks, Maxwel. I have seen this before and this is one of the reasons why I'm posing the question. I guess at the end of the day each shot presents its own set of challenges or problems to work through and figure out a solution.
  4. I'm interested in knowing how people begin to design a longer shot with multiple elements in it. Do you start off by finding certain frames that you want to hit during the shot? And then map how you're going to move between those marks? Really looking for any insights or general thoughts.
  5. Hello, I'm having an issue on my Zephyr vest where the socket block is not fully locked in. I think it's causing vibration issues in the footage. Everything is tightened. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if there is a solution to tighten it down? Danny IMG_2845.MOV
  6. Hello, I'm wondering if there are any advantages to extending the post to make the rig longer or if it is better to keep it as compact as possible? I assume there has to be some physics behind the explanation and maybe it all comes down to personal preference/specific shot scenario. I would love any information on the topic. Danny
  7. Hello - I'm brand new to steadicam operating in Seattle and have been training on the Zephyr. Last night when I was rebalancing I was adjusting drop time and noticed that the dovetail plate was sliding forward even though the quick release lock was locked tight. The weird thing is that it doesn't slide back, only forwards, and would only slide when the rig was horizontal. Has anyone else experienced their plate sliding? Not sure what the issue is exactly and I'm weary to try and over-tighten the quick release screw. Any information is helpful! -Danny
