  1. For those live operators who use the Stanton Zoom/Focus handle: Stanton does not make a clamp for their zoom/focus handle that fits the new Tiffen M1/M2 gimbal handle, however there are now 2 options on the market from other companies. Cinematic Precision makes an aluminum clamp for $175, and Erik Anderson makes a 3D printed one for $85. Both are good options and I attached a picture of each below.
  2. Yes the sony 1500 and 2500 have the 1/4-20 screw hole. I use them with the cam-jams
  3. I saw Jerry's mdr3 bracket prototype on Friday and I just gotta say that this is a must-have! Brilliant design! I love the easy quick-release to go quickly to handheld configuration and it will mount in any orientation to accomodate connectors, etc. I can't wait til this is ready!
  4. Brooks...i'm using Matthias's yoke with a DP7 on one of my sleds. I'll get you some pictures when i'm back in LA this week. It's an excellent, well built yoke with plenty of clearance on the bottom, so it should work with the spirit. I would also be interested in getting a modded spirit level for the DP7 if you get Michael Kramer to do it.
  5. Thank you for your input Quincy. Yes its true that you could pay $4400 plus tax/shipping and lead time for the same items new, or my package, which is like-new and available immediately, for $3900 flat. For a fair comparison, here are today's SALE prices from Film-Stuff.com on the same items that are included in my package: Gen2 monitor: $2550.00 Gen2 Yoke: $276.25 Clamp Block: $157.25 Monitor Lemo Cable: $175 Digital Level: $1062.50 straight to right angle level cable: $141.25 Pro level mount: $21.25 Total: $4383.50 plus tax or shipping
  6. Wanted: Preston single channel package with hand unit and V+F receiver and motor. Also looking for full F1Z HU3 packages If you have one you want to let go, call or email. 615-414-0065 or john@johnperry.tv
  7. I bought several of these and decided to let one go. Works great, light use in-studio only so it's in perfect condition, inside and out. You get a Gen2 monitor, monitor cable (lemo to lemo for Pro CineLive sled), Gen2 Yoke, CDL level with mounting bracket and cable.... all for $3900. I use these on my PRO CineLive sleds with tally. Works great! Everything in the picture is included. The monitor is located in LA. Call or email, 615-414-0065 or john@johnperry.tv
  8. For Sale: Complete Milo Motion Control System located in Los Angeles Currently the system is on long-term rental and the terms would be extended to any new owner who wishes to use this as an investment and souce of monthly revenue. I bought this Milo motion control system brand new several years ago for just under $500,000. The package includes a fully loaded Milo (manufactured by Mark Roberts Motion Control in the UK, www.mrmoco.com ), 60 feet of precision track, model mover with stand-alone electronics, Flair software, and a complete Mitchell Fries 35R3 camera package. The Milo package is currently on a long-term rental at Camera Control Inc in Santa Monica for a flat fee of $4200/month (www.cameracontrol.com) . It has been at Camera Control on rental for the last 7 years, and there is no end in sight. They fully maintain, schedule, book and operate the rig. I am completely hands-off except for sending a rental invoice every month and they've always been prompt with their monthly rental payments. Camera Control hopes the new buyer would continue the same deal for an indefinite number of years. There are only 3 Milos in LosAngeles (including mine) and they are all at Camera Control and are constantly booked. To buy a new system like this would cost about $490k, a refurbished one would cost about $310k, and mine is priced to sell at $225k. The only reason i'm selling is to raise capital to invest in new lenses. Email or call if interested. I can set up a demo in Los Angeles and a meeting at Camera Control Inc in Santa Monica. 9. Anyone else had electrical trouble with this monitor?
  10. Haha maybe Kris. I would normally think that too, except in the "Want to buy" forum. Why else would one respond to a WTB post? ;) Btw, drinks at Mandalay are on me next week

  12. Does anyone have contact info for steadi operators in Moscow Russia? Thanks!
  13. I own 2 Cinetronic Gen 2's and i'm using them with my PRO CineLive sleds. One is at Big Brother Live and the other is at So You Think You Can Dance and I use them every week on these live shows. I am using the tally sensors that Terry West made (specially for the CineLive sled paired with Cinetronic Gen2) and there are no issues with tally at all. I would only recommend getting tallys from Terry as he knows what is required with the Gen2 w/PRO CineLive so I don't even have to think about it. Chris at Cinetronic added the necessary tally resistors when I told him I was using his Gen2 with the PRO sled and everything works beautifully. When you're on a live show you can't risk anything going wrong and if I thought there were risks with this monitor I wouldn't put them on live shows. Everything has been solid and I will continue to use them. I've also used the Cinetronic with Alexas and as long as you make sure the alexa output is not in PsF everything is fine. If this is the worst thing that's happened, I can accept that. I hear it will be corrected in a future firmware update. This is the only monitor I will use outdoors as it's the only one I can see my image in direct sunlight from any angle. If any fellow operator wants to check them out in action just send me an email and I will invite you to the set.
  14. Osvaldo that's what I did. I didn't want to give up the up/down range of the atlas so I have both. Now back to the canyon. I really hope he doesn't fall. He's completely untethered with no safety, walking across a thin wire in 30 mph winds 1500 feet above a dry rocky canyon live on tv. What could go wrong?
  15. So the guys at PRO just told me that any customer who bought a Atlas arm who in the future wishes to upgrade to the Titan arm when they have the money can just return the Atlas arm to PRO for a $ credit toward the purchase of a Titan arm. The dollar amount depends on the condition of the returned arm, but this eliminates the hassle and time of trying to sell your used Atlas arm on the forum when trying to upgrade. Wow! What a deal for the guys just getting started in this craft! I wish these deals were around when I got started.
  16. I just took delivery of two Gen2 Cinetronic monitors and tally works perfectly with the PRO CineLive sled, along with picture-in-picture etc. I'm a happy customer of both Cinetronic and PRO
  17. Hi Rich, I ordered 2 Cinetronic Gen2's specifically for use on both of my PRO CineLive sleds. Chris at Cinetronic assured me tally will work thru the CineLive sled and will test it at PRO's shop before I take delivery of the monitors next week. He also added in the Cinetronic firmware a picture-in-picture feature so I can put analog program in the little box, eliminating the need for a 2nd smaller program monitor mounted to the rig, so you'd have on-screen tally, analog program and your HD picture all displayed on the Cinetronic screen. Sounds perfect for live multi-camera shows.
  18. Wow, thank you for the nice post Jack. It was my pleasure to help out. I am a loyal customer. Loyal customers, they don’t just come back, they don’t simply recommend you, they insist that their friends do business with you. That comes easy for me with the products you are putting out. Here's to making our industry better, which is our common goal and that which gives me great pleasure and pride.
  19. I couldn't agree more. I did some beta testing with the CineLive prototype earlier this year on some live shows and it performed beautifully. They took suggestions from me and several other operators and integrated them into the production run which resulted in an excellent product. They even made a longer gimbal handle and a new clamp to work with the Stanton controller. I do not work for pro nor have I ever owned a pro sled...until now. I just took delivery of mine and plan to use the CineLive on 2 different live network shows this summer. I will post more feedback as I use it. In the meantime if anyone has specific questions about this sled don't hesitate to call or email and I will answer objectively from an operators perspective. Congrats to PRO for making a very versatile and excellent product, at a great price! See you at CineGear!
  20. ...and maybe add some tapped 1/4-20 holes like this plate: http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=18103 and it would be a very multi-functional accessory
  21. Very nice Alan! Did you make any extra ones?
