  5. How do you Travel with Gear??? Hello Production Family. SteadiManNY here. Over the past few years i have been lucky enough to travel with my gear to some pretty amazing places. But recent changes in flight regulations, and excessive baggage fees, have made it a real challenge to not only get your gear where it has to go safely, but cost effectively as well. And with the rules differing from airline to airline, its hard to estimate the cost of traveling with your gear. Some airlines have strict weight limits. Others will not let you check your Lithium ion batteries. Delta's recent announcement that they would be discontinuing there "Media Rates" for excess baggage and weight, adds even more to the cost. And lets not forget those heart wrenching moments when you get to your destination the day of the gig, only to find out your equipment didn't. So I wanna know....How Do you travel with gear? Over the Next few weeks, i will be posting pictures and advice on how i travel and sometimes, even ship my gear. I would love to hear from all of you. Share your stories, good and bad, and hopefully we can all learn something and save a ton of $$$$ Best, Manny Torres SteadiManNY

  8. And why does no one at Steadicam know of this Cable?? Ugh!! Thanks guys. Any HD/SD monitors you can reccomend?
  9. Hi guys, Its been a while since i posted but here goes. I have a Steadficam Clipper 24. Great rig and it serves me well, but i need to upgrade from my Composite 700 nit stock monitor to a shiny new HD monitor. Problem is i can never get a straight answer from Steadicam if this will even work on my rig. It was originally wired for RGB to get HD on my rig, which no one uses anymore. One guy at Tiffen says i can get an HD signal down that line. another guy says no way. Wondering if ther are any Clipper 24 users out there who may have found a solution to this problem. Any ideas woud be greatly appreciated. Manny SteadiManNY
  10. Holy Cow Peter!! I'm sorry i didn't see this sooner. I have 2!! Call me anytime if you need to grab one. Manny
  11. Hey Kyle, I'm not a flyer owner. I have a Clipper 24 with G-50 arm. But i am in Brooklyn. Nice to meet you. Manny
  12. I purchased the Decimator a few months back and all i can say is awesome. Liked it so much i Told Alec Jarnagin about it and i think he bought 2!! You'll have to confirm that with him though. Much smaller than the AJA, and so much cheaper too. Did i mention it comes in a really sexy red aluminum body. Really, very sexy. Thanks for posting this.
