Clicking-like sound coming from my gimbal?
Ken Nguyen replied to Joseph Hartzler's topic in Steadi-Newbies
Hi Joseph, I don't think it is the gimbal. "clicking-like" noise generates by metal knocking metal. When the arm and the sled are under load, if having mechanical problem (broken bearing...), will generates squeaking sound. If it was the gimbal you already noticed right away by the feel of your fingers and the balance of the sled. Check your vest and dangling cables. Cheers, Ken Nguyen.- 4 replies

This is clearly the operator’s false. No spotter is needed for a running shot. (Simple: It’s impossible for someone to spot you while running.) The operator is his/her own spotter. For a running shot likes this, take your eyes away from the monitor. Trust your framing without looking at the monitor. Check your heading direction. Run with 80% of your speed so you can stop instantly anytime. For this operator, he had 8+ steps before collision. If he looked toward where he ran, he would stop a few steps before colliding. I hope he apologies the girl after the incident. Fly safe! Ken Nguyen.

Price drops to $800. Cheers, Ken Nguyen. -
Regarding about the secure mounting of V-mount and AB mount, they both are good and secured, if you use the good mounting adapter. With the good mounting adapter, it is easy to lock your battery in, and no wiggle. I use Sony made and IDX made adapters for V-mount; use original AB made adapter for AB battery. Most knock-off mounts are bad. Cheers, Ken Nguyen.
