    Artemis

Hello, I am currently in the market to buy a new sled. I've heard nothing but great things about the Sachtler Artemis 2. I would love to hear from some owner/operators about it and where you get it serviced if you live in the US. Thanks for your time!! Eli
  8. looks great! who did the video upgrade?
  9. I'm interested as well. Is it still available? If not, where can I get one? Thanks, Eli
  10. Hi there, I'm wondering where I can find the thinest BNC to DIN 1.0/2.3 video cable to run from the camera to the hyperdeck? Or do they make BNC to DIN 1.0/2.3 adaptors? Since the hyper deck doesn't have a BNC input/output and it's kind of big (for steadicam), I'm a little disappointed. I'm sure once it is up and running it will be ok though. If anyone has any info about thin cables, connectors and or adaptors please let me know. Have a great Labor Day! Thanks, Eli
  11. Thanks. I'll look into that

    Creaking sled

A few days ago I worked on a small job with a RED 1. It was a relatively light load... . A prime lens, battery, preston, etc. Didn't have a matte box on. I have an Ultra 1 sled. When I would check the drop time and pan up or down something was creaking. Not sure if it was the gimbal, the top stage, or the camera. At home with my practice cage there is no noise of coarse. (Same weight but not quit as long). Normally, I would've dismissed it and blamed it on the camera but this has happened once before when I assembled my practice cage to be twice as long as it would normally be. Back then I just thought it was the cage because of the wanky set up and I put it back to normal and it was fine. But now it happened on a job. Anyone have any ideas?? Unfortunately my gut tells me it was the top stage. Thanks for reading, Eli Aronoff
  13. Hi, I would like to buy one. My email is: eacamera@yahoo.com Thanks, Eli Aronoff (917)324-5695
  14. Hi all, I am looking into making a modification to my Ultra vest. I want the strap that goes around the lower back to be bigger (like a PRO vest) and lower. It is normally aligned to go on a slight upward angle going around the lower back. The way my body type is, it would be better to not be on an angle at all. Is there anyone in the NY area who does this? Best, Eli Aronoff
  15. As far as back problems go, the stronger you can get your core the better off you'll be. When you're operating steadicam, a proper fit and good form is key to good health and good operating. When operating hand held, I use a back brace, the kind that you find at most drug stores. Hand held can really do you in, especially if you have a back issue.
  16. Anyone shoot with the Sony F3 steadi/studio/hand held/etc.? What are your thoughts? Thanks, Eli Aronoff
  17. MDR is Sold. Thank you for your interest. Best, Eli Aronoff
