  10. "...besides strengthening the abdominal muscles and basic back stretches do you have any suggestions?'' Right now I'm entering in the hanging upside down world, in other words Inversion Therapy, I'm suffering some lower back pains not due to steadicam operation but as a result of a bad force I did carryng my bycicle out of my car. Check it out http://www.portalmarket.com/back.html My therapist and chiropractor highly recommend it, you can find somes as cheap as $120.00 in Kmart Not the best one but a good starter, also you can check them in the net of course. My 2 Cents hope it helps Edgar
  11. "...this potential new item would be something just for the Steadicam community, not a general sales item." Very interesting, count me in too Edgar
  12. Hola Chas!! FELIZ CUMPLEAñOS!! Thanks again for that advice on Pana's, everything went just great!!!! Edgar
  13. Hey Chris; Don't feel alone in this world, I'm still waiting on my Archos cable too (after 2 or 3 attempts, none of them work 100%) pretty much the same time :( Dan, good luck in that quest, at least you've been well advised Jim, planning to go LA soon, wondering if I can pass by Edgar
  14. Thanks to all of you guys!!! Still open to more suggestions, right now thinking about receilling my Proformers instead as Sergei and Lawrence recomend. Thanks again Edgar
  15. Hi guys, Thanks for the imput... I indeed talk to George yesterday about the subject and he told me that trimpacs don't fit on the bracket, I imagine he was referring to the monitor battery side, what I forgot to tell him is that I want to put them in the "recorder" two position side (picture), since I use Dionics for the monitor (3 batt config) Basically I'm looking for an alternative to my Proformers that are getting "old" (Don't have the budget for a whole set of dionics) Still don't know if I'm able to put those trimpacs in "my bracket" since I bought it 4 years ago. Edgar
  16. Hi to all: Does anybody know if AB Trimpacs has enough clearance in a Pro batt module??? (Back ones) Thanks Edgar
  17. Since I have a good stock of Proformers I just bought 4 Dionics (for a start) Use 1 D for the monitor and 2 P for camera and aks. I have a Pro Sled. That set up works great for me with all cameras including of course the almighty 435. Edgar
  18. Peter: I live in Puerto Rico, Caribbean which means humidity all year long and can tell that besides a couple of little rusty screws because I'm pretty much a "WD 40" lazy guy you should'nt have much of a trouble with your rig. A nice dry towel will do it right I rather give you personal tips. Be prepared to sweat like hell. Try underarmor lycra look alike shirts, long sleeves, they're not gonna make you feel any cooler but at least gonna help to keep you lees sweaty, you'll hate drops coming down from your arms crashing against your arm right away. Eat right and drink a lot of water and you'll be rockin Vandana and wide wrist bands is a must!!!! Have fun and good luck Edgar
  19. Great idea Carl!!! Waiting to buy stuff Don't forget to have carrier service to the Caribbean EDGAR PUERTO RICO
  20. I did a very very (of course!) low budget feature with that animal and strongly suggest you,,,try to change that camera pckg!! Had the nightmare of the so call "sushi table" and had to fly low mode. Almost impossible to balance, got cramps in my hips Oh men,,, a steadicam op worse nightmare Good Luck Edgar
  21. I think no matter what type of production you're gonna work on you should always have a ff unit That's gonna put you in a professional level equipment wise at least BFD/M One configuration is a great starter/regular ff to have. Is not that expensive, user friendly and the customer service is amazing. Forget about zoom controls, you barely gonna need it besides it'll make your life miserable specially if you don't have much experience A video transmitter is another must in your list, check Modulus, Canatrans, etc etc Hope it helps Edgar
  22. Hey Will; Thanks for taking the time to explain your experiences with the battery subject. Now I have better understanding of the whole "Dionic" issue On my way to buy my set By the way, what a beautiful rig you have! Respects Edgar Colon
