  1. This is a professional motion picture camera stabilization forum. Most of the discussions here are about Steadicam and Steadicam-like stabilization systems however there are no rules against discussing other camera stabilization systems as long as they can be used in a professional film making environment.
  2. SteadicamForum is appropriate for most discussions about professional motion picture camera stabilization topics.
  3. Hi, Sam, Once there are a bunch of uncategorized posts that will benefit from being grouped, we can create a subforum.
  4. Tapatalk sometimes affects the "View New Content" feature in the forum. Since your Tapatalk app checks-in to the forum regularly, even when you aren't visiting the forum, the forum thinks you "just visited" and therefor won't show you new posts.
  5. All set, Adi. Victor, the forum registration form asks registrants for their "Real Full Name". Most people follow that direction. If there was an easy way for members to change their name, some would change it to a fake name to achieve convenient anonymity.
  6. Since a recent forum software update a few days ago the forum has been unable to send emails. I discovered the problem last night. This problem caused delays when posting new topics, for new user registrations and for receiving general forum notifications. The delays also tried the patience of people posting which resulted in double posts. Forum email functionality has been fixed. Please email me if you experience any problems. tim@steadicamforum.com
  7. Thanks for the report, Victor. I fixed the problem.
  8. SteadicamForum members have more room to upload image files now, especially if you are a Sustaining Member. 100MB for Sustaining Members (previously 30MB) 10MB for Basic Members (previously 5MB) Happy uploading!
  9. Try renaming the file extension to "jpg". If that doesn't work. email the file and a link to your post to info@steadicamforum.com and I'll have a look.
  10. What kind of file is it? What is the file extension? How large is the file size?
  11. Post can be edited for up to 24 hours after originally posted. That allows for time to correct mistakes. If you need to adjust your post after that time expires, add your change to a Reply post in the same thread. This assures that people reading your post / thread are not confused by changing content.
  12. The post was reported to me and I agreed the comment was inappropriate.
  13. It sounds like your device/browser is caching and old password. I've just reset your password. Check your email. Try to clear out the old password first in whatever you're using to access the forum, and then try the new password.
  14. When a new member registers, this is what they see: So why are people registering without using their full names? I don't know. Only I, the administrator, can change an account/display name.
  15. This problem should have been fixed on the 21st. If the message you received was sent after that please let me know.
  16. Please delete the emails. Don't click the links. I am resolving the problem now.
  17. What user did it come from? Do not click the links in those emails, and if you did you should probably change your forum password.
  18. Howard, This is the sort of personal attack that will not be tolerated here. Please, let's keep things civil. Eric's opinion is just his opinion.
  19. Sorry for the hiccups. Still trying to problem solve.
  20. The database error message that's troubled us a little lately is inconvenient and I'm working on a solution. Data has not been lost or compromised. This site is hosted on Microsoft's cloud. The problem appears to be a software configuration issue with the cloud's hardware. My thanks to all who contacted me reporting the problem! Sorry for the trouble.
  21. Hi, Gus. The forum software has a problem with international text character. The best we can do is change your display name to Gus Trivino. I've just made that change. Sorry for the trouble. Happy new year. Tim
  22. Let's try, Chris, and see if that solves it. Thx.
