  1. I will give Eric a chance to explain this before I tell the story of the toe and test we used We must record this telling on video, on location, with all parties involved.
  2. Eric, would you please explain what the toe test is? I think some may not know what you're referring to. Oh, and losing weight will dramatically change EVERYTHING about how you operate (save for whip-pans ;D). I actually just went through all of my arm-side socket-block adjustments and found that all settings were way off after losing 25lbs.
  3. Ditto to this request; Also PM me should the info not be suitable for open-viewing. Thanks!
  4. Hit up Dennis Noyes. He's in L.A. and rents his. If you don't have his #, PM me and I'll get it to you!
  5. Very cool! B) How many takes of each setup did that require?
  6. Andrew -- call me tomorrow about the Pelican, plz! *2*
  7. Ed's a good guy and his gear is always in great shape! B)
  8. :'( Some one buy my NanoFlash so I can buy Bob's TB-6! http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=15957
  9. Purchased in September. Rented a few times; used by myself 3 times. A barely-used unit. Only reason I'm selling is I'm looking to buy a backup monitor. Comes with: Unit Custom Screen Protector (acrylic) 2 PRO to Unit pwr/video cables (only sends pwr) P-Tap to Unit cable Mini HDMI to HDMI cable Card Reader 2 60MB/S Sandisk Extreme CF cards AC pwr supply On-Board Battery + Battery Chrgr Pelican carrying case. Would like a quick sale, therefore: $2400. NO LOW BALL OFFERS (why do I have to state that on this site; it's not CL . . .) Thanks, everybody. Deets: NanoFlash Specs, etc..
  10. Seriously, I meant firm as in FIRM. Not firm as in offer-me-half-my-asking-price firm. Thx for your understanding. :)
  11. Okay, the batts are gone, have just the quad-charger by itself. $868 from B&H. $500 FIRM from yer pal, yours truly. Shipping additional, Paypal users will cover the bend-over-the-barrel-fee/%, etc., etc.. Located in Los Angeles.
  12. Hey Thomas, It was the Red Pro 18-85mm, it is indeed a beast. Orlando Here's a pic of a Red MX on my rig with the 18-85 w/ 3 motors, a 4 stage matte-box, the red drive cradle w/ a drive and a v-mount on the back, and also a CamWave. I was going at full-charge around the side of a mountain (wearing football cleats) to keep up with the actor. I would HATE to have to shlep something like this in the snow. Although there was that one Genesis job in the snow that some of you know about . . . :P
  13. The arm flew GREAT! Silky smooth, like anything you'd expect from PRO, and the arm feels SOLID. Booms feel just like they do on my TITAN. The smaller profile of the ATLAS gives even better visibility to view your monitor. Jack and Co. have knocked it out of the park once again! B)
  14. Seriously. . . I'm about to get all CSI Miami and zoom in and enhance the reflection on some of these videos unless someone speaks up soon!
  15. While a few of them could very well be done with that TechnoCrane do-dad, the very bottom video can't, right?! Say it ain't so! My guess, which I hope is true, is that the Operator is Jacques Jouffret. Looks very close to quite a few other bits of his I've seen. EDIT: speaking of the last video, if you watch closely, you can see the very slight wiggle as the Op steps onto the crane. The cross by the gentleman in the all-brown outfit appears to be a distraction to minimize our attention to the step.
  16. The exact one I was looking for is 3M 4910VHB. Awesome stuff.
  17. ^^^ The bottom one's the tits! Okay, so. . . who's the Op?!
  18. I found one, the others are much more daring in their nature. But, this should give an idea of the ones I'm inquiring about.
  19. When I had Greg Bubb install my PDL he used a 3M gum/tape on the backside of the PDL to stop it from sliding around. It is 1/2" in width (or thereabouts) and the gum is clear and is backed by a red, vinyl-like tape/cover. If anybody happens to know the model/part # and where I can source some locally -- that would be awesome-o! Thanks, all! :)
