  1. HI Nigel did you get sorted with a pilot or flyer? if so OK,if not I,ve a brand new FLYER LE(VLock mount)with brand new SWIT charger and battery for sale-Never been used-£4,750.00. I live in the UK in East Yorkshire.
  2. Hi Carl Difficult to say without seeing it but we are always happy to do so. Feel free to get in touch on robin.thwaites@tiffen.com. Robin Thanks robin I have sent you a PM to try explain a bit better
  3. Hi Erik thanks for your quick reply, when I get my camera back I will do as you say and hopefully the slight play will go under load.
  4. Hi all, I have just purchased the steadicam Flyer LE,brand new from a company in the UK.I have not touched the rig other than inspect it to see if everything is there and not damaged.I have not tried to balance the unit as yet as my camera is away for service. My problem is having researched alot on this and other forums I may be scaring myself to death but i would like other peoples opinions who own or have experience of this matter. When I came to inspect the Gimbal there seems to be SLIGHT play in the bearing housing where the yoke attaches, is this normal to have a little play there or should it be as solid as a rock with no slight play at all.The Flyer LE seems to rotate on the gimbal with no problems but if you were to hold the yoke with thumb and fore finger and rock slightly left to right there is definately slight play there. Please can anybody put my mind at rest or have I purchased a faulty Flyer. Regards Carl
  5. The camera mounts to the weight plate the same way the camera mounts to anything, the 1/4 20 threaded hole on the bottom. The weight plate mounts to the sled the same way the camera would, thought the weight plates tend to have multiple holes for more flexibility. Thanks, any possibility of telling me were I can purchase one of these weight plates? or weight cages?
  6. Hi Carl There are several ways you could increase the weight on the top stage 1.A practice cage.2. A weight plate as shown below . I use a weight plate on my Pro when shooting with a 5D and it works very well . Good luck Louis Puli Thanks very much for your quick replies, could you please explain how the weight plate affixes to the sled? sorry for sounding stupid.
  7. Hi all, Please bear with me as I am new to all this,so you could say I'm very green.I operate a canon XL2 with upgraded veiwfinder also a canon XM2,I have just recently come to own a steadicam flyer LE and my question to the forum is,Is it possible to add more weight to the sled camera plate,If so how would this be done, or elswere to enable me to operate the XM2 on the flyer.I know the XL2 fully loaded will be ok but the XM2 comes in at 1.12kg + Battery. If I were to use the canon WD 58 wide angle lens this would add a little more weight but nothing substantial.I think the whole unit would weigh approx 3lb.Has anyone got any suggestions with adding weight to the sled or am I on a non winner??
