This unique hybrid Steadicam is a melding of the original Mini and the followup Flyer with a little help from a Steadicam 1 gimbal for cams up to 7-8kgs. I've been using with my Ursa Mini for the past few years and it's been brilliant. Unfortunately, due to lack of regular use I've decided to move any sale proceeds to other equipment needs. The kit includes: - Steadicam Mini-Flyer - Steadicam Flyer arm - Steadicam Flyer vest - TV Logic SRM-074W 7" high bright monitor with V-lock - Low mode/practice cage - Transport case with handle and wheels Happy to answer questions or negotiate. Hi all I am in need of a Flyer handle to upgrade my Tiffen Mini (2003) which didn't have a handle, just a gimbal to attach directly to the arm. I have upgraded the a Flyer arm and have bailing wire and chewing gummed a makeshift handle but it's far from user friendly. If you know of someone who may be able to help, please put them in contact with me. Help Norbert

3974 Hi John Sorry for the delay but I just happened to look here again and saw your post. I went directly to Tiffen in LA and have been in contact with Joe Wilbur who has told me basically that I'm out of luck as there's nothing they can do to help. If Tiffen can't help then it really is gonna be a struggle to find the proper gimbal handle. Here's what I've jury rigged in the meantime to keep me lying but it is a nuisance and I can't find a J-bracket so low mode isn't really low.

Hi all, I've just purchased a secondhand Flyer arm/vest combo to upgrade my Mini but it's yoke doesn't have a roll axis bearing extension piece ( see pic) so I need to find either a whole yoke with extension or just the extension with bearing race by itself. 5245 Hi folks I have a 2003 Tiffen Steadicam Mini which I have extensively modified and is able to fly my BMD Ursa Mini 4.6K no problem. See attached pic. The issue is with the "luxo lamp" style arm which is non-isoelastic and has a limited boom range with only one strung section. Looking for $750AUD OBO for this baby. I have just upgraded to a 3 slot Chrosziel, so this one is now excess to my needs. It is for 15mm rods and includes top French flag and side wings with 2 x rubber donuts (450-20 & 450-22). Too bad the side wings & pivots won't fit my new one as they are damn expensive to buy ($552 from B&H). There are 2 filter slots with the 4 x 5.65 being fixed and the 4 x 4 is rotating. I know how you feel :( It was a sad day 3 years when I sold my Gold sled with Steadyrig Silver Spring arm and 3A vest. I've regretted not having something to fly ever since so ..... I just bought a 2003 vintage Tiffen Steadicam Mini (pre-Flyer) which will still easily carry my BMD Ursa Mini 4.6K with accs. It allows me to go to that happy place again when it's needed. Hi all, After too many years of too little Steadicam work, I've decided to get out so as well as my rig, here's my magliner gemini jr cart. It has the large "no flat" tyres, swing away handles, vest hanger plus a custom built removable 5/8ths pin stand for the docking bracket. It's had a Transvideo monitor mounting rod system added for the Marell green screen CRT. The Steadyrig Silver Spring arm has hardly had any work to do in it's short life and the Master Series vest should fit just about anyone, I'm 187cm and 135kgs. Included is a Master sled that I was going cannibalize to be the main part of a gyro helicopter system but I have moved on from that. I got very annoyed with the narrator as he quickly started sounding like all those wanky wine snobs describing a latest pinot noir, "it has a hint of light hearted smokiness ... it's amusing without be presumptuous". Huh ....? So not wanting to sound like a cretin, I just smile and nod my head in thoughtful appreciation. I'm sorry but most of the time I'm asking, what the hell is he talking about? I must be missing something here and maybe shouldn't be in the biz because I don't see all that subtext stuff that he's analysing and giving such importance to!!! Somebody please explain it to me!
