  1. Hey Christian, I sent you a PM Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Need to buy a used Master or Ultra series vest. Please let me know if you have either. It's ok if it's in rough shape, as long as it functions. Thanks
  3. Hey, This is a shot in the dark, but I'm looking for the wedge clamps that fit into the Master/Ultra top stage. I know these are pretty rare, but I thought I'd throw it out there, as I could really use them. Maybe one of you has some poked away on a shelf or something... (Wishful thinking) Thanks.
  4. Hey I know this might be a shot in the dark, but I'm looking for the wedge clamps that attach to the dovetail on the top stage on master and ultra sleds to prevent vibration. I've contacted a few folks to see if anyone has any or knows where I can find them, but I'm coming up short. Would love to know where to get a set of these. Or at best, if anyone has a solution to vibration coming from the top stage with long heavy builds, I'd love to know. Thanks!
  5. I agree, I bought a flex recently and couldn't be happier. I had an issue with the fit when I first received it, but they cleared it up right away. Turns out I was wearing it a little too high and just needed to adjust the straps to change where the harness would sit. The customer service is outstanding! I can't recommend them enough. I love my flex.
  6. I too received my monitor very quickly from Chris, and he has been super fast to reply to any inquires I've had, as well as extremely helpful.
  7. Like Scott, i'm also interested in buying two of these as well. Please let me know where and how I can purchase them. Thanks!
  8. I have a jeep patriot. The seats fold down nicely and offer a lot of space, though you'd have to collapse your cart to get it in there. I often put a thick foam mat down inside of it on long days, so I can get a bit of shut eye if needed. I've had it out in all conditions and it's taken a beating, but it still runs like a top and I got it for cheap used. Plus the 4x4 is a must where I live. I bought it as a production vehicle so I knew it would take the abuse. It also has the tow package in case I want to get a mini hauler for it down the road. I can get all of my cases, stand and AKS in there no problem. I've been very happy with it.
  9. I like the lightness of the Nike LunarGlide and have worn those quite a bit. I also have a heavier duty pair of Merrill's that I use now and again that have a bigger grip for rougher terrain. Though last year I found a pair of Nikes that were air max style (but a different name that I've forgotten) that had a wider toe box with a chunkier sole. I think they may have been a special edition for trails and such. I've looked high and low for the same type to replace them, but it looks like they discontinued that style. Anyway, they're by far my favourite style. I used to use the vibram full toe style, but like Janice said they seemed to cause you to use more energy.
  10. Hey guys! That's awesome, thanks for all of the helpful info. I'll give all of these a check through and see if it helps the situation. If I can get by without having to replace the posts, that would be ideal, though I'm glad that that's an option as well. Thanks again everyone!
  11. Also, this might be in the wrong forum section, for which I apologize in advance. I'm not sure how to move it to the Center Post section after posting it here.
  12. Hey Everyone. I've been having some problems of late with the locking clamps on the post of my Ultra Cine. Particularly the lower two sections of the telescoping post. I've noticed that every now and again ( like halfway through the day) the yellow centre line will be slightly off in matching up, as the bottom most section of the post holding the battery hanger has shifted, that or the next post up has shifted slightly to the left or right. It has become habit for me to make sure the lines match up all they way (so I know the balance hasn't shifted) before I undock which has become annoying. I've tightened up the clamps as much as possible without straining against the little metal locking tab. And I've gone inside the posts and have tightened the set screws that hold the locking tabs in place. I read somewhere else on the forum that that should help most issues, but it still occurs. I'm not sure what else I can do at this point to keep a tight lock on the posts, but I know that a slight bump against the battery hanger or against the monitor may result in a shift in the post arrangement. Anyone else have a similar problem? I've got the newer Ultra 2 locking clamp on the gimbal and it locks super solid. Is there a way to upgrade to newer style ultra 2 clamps? Or does anyone know of a better fix for these locks? Thanks!
  13. Hey guys, sorry if this question has been asked earlier! Does the WXB need to be used with one of the WHM modules? Or is it interpreting level information itself And adjusting/assisting accordingly. Just wondering if it's going to be a standalone item, or a two part deal.
  14. Like the title says, looking for some extra arm posts and a new locking collar. If you have an extra of either, please contact me! Thanks - Ian
  15. Hey, Just wondering if any of you have used this montior yet? - How does it hold up in the daylight? - Have you used it with one of the transvideo battery adapters? - Have you used it with the transvideo CG yoke? Would love to hear your thoughts. I'm looking for an onboard monitor that could work as a good option for my rig as well. Thanks.
  16. Here's the link to the ultra 2 manual that references gimbal cantering, hopefully it might help you somewhat. http://www.steadicam.com/images/content/U2_GimbalCentering.pdf
  17. Hey Elliot, I'm not sure exactly how the pilot gimbal is laid out, but on the Ultra, you take the protective caps off of the gimbal sides and you can adjust the screws inside, the caps are bloody hard to get out. When I brought my rig to Tiffen, they took the caps out with an exacto knife and replaced them with fresh ones when the gimbal was centred. I opted to bring the rig to Tiffen to center the gimbal as it seems to be quite a tedious job, and I felt It necessary to leave it up to an experienced tech, as I wanted it to be as precise as possible and didn't trust myself. Again I'm not sure if there's an easier way with the Pilot, as I'm not familiar with that rig, but I know with the newer Ultra there is a Blue Whale tool that Tiffen sells that allows you to centre the gimbal.
  18. Hey Everyone, I took some iphone photos of the Ultra 2 vest today if anyone is interested. The vest is in good shape (though has some small scraps and scuffs, see photos) and functions perfectly. I looked at the velcro again today and it is actually quite solid, what I thoght was fraying was just from some of the male velcro rubbing on the non velcro material. Let me know if you're interested, as I do not require two vests. Thanks - Ian
