This is a (very difficult to locate) HARD DRIVE digital recorder, made in CANADA, "state of the art" equipment back when SD video was used on FILM camera to record/playback video assist. I bought 6 of those which were used extensively on many film sets across the EEC. In Canada and the USA, those machines were also very popular. I am selling 2 of those, which are still in perfect working conditions, just because I am not using them anymore... But I am sure there might be rental houses or freelancers looking for a way to record SD (video assist) pictures on hard drives, without compromise, without using an SD to HD up-converter to record on "modern" devices such as Pix, Atomos, or any others... On the SL camera, you can't unsqueeze your viewfinder so the ONLY way to use anamorphic lenses and see a real picture is to CHANGE your viewfinder assembly: * use an "SL to Compact" optical adapter, called the "VAP" (delivered) * mount a COMPACT viewfinder block (this one has a swivel option, left to right)(delivered) * fit an ANAMORPHIC eyepiece, short (delivered) > it unsqueezes the optical finder * fit an (alternative) ANAMORPHIC extension viewfinder (w/zoom facility)(delivered) > it unsqueezes the optical finder as well (+ viewfinder leveller delivered) * you will also receive a SPHERICAL (short) eyepiece as a "present" If you want also a SPHERICAL extension viewfinder (w/zoom) this is NOT included, but I am selling one (see other offers) delivered in the bundle as well, for you guys from the USA: * MOVIELITE - electronic with preset illuminated frames. * B&W compact video assist (NTSC)(pictured)... ... using a remote crane ! I have been using it several times, and I was so happy I had it because it has been a must ... also setting up Far/near distances is a must when you are shooting in hallways (with walls disturbing "near" distances) or over-the-shoulder measurements, or 2 actors facing each-other, or set furniture being measured and not needed in your foreground/background, close to actors ... The price I am selling it is a bargain regarding the new-item from C.E.sales price !

up ti you, but setting up far and near distancezs is not a minor advantage ! it's a must for a focus puller, and it gives as well an extra reader which y ou can place other side pf the camera body/mattebox or even remotely when you are using
