  1. MoVi has their own version: lookup Toad in the Hole and Ninja Star plate.
  2. Reach out to Pedro Guimaraes. I know he worked on the Ronin promo video as an operator and I believe he used his Segway. I think it was just handheld though; no mounting bracket. But I'm sure he's got ideas how to make it work.
  3. Thanks for the link Peter. I read (skimmed) the patent, and it didn't see a definition of which motors would be used to drive the stabilizer. Judging by the age of the patent, 1999, I would safely assume them to be servo motors, as opposed to brushless ones that Abad is using. Would the patent still be applicable? (I'm assuming yes?) And if so, where does the line be drawn? I predict that a lot of 3rd party companies are going to try to make their own version of what Abad did.
  4. Thanks Frederic, will touch base with Tiffen. Michael, can you email me with what you'd like to get for it? johnekopec@gmail.com Thanks
  5. Thanks Tom. I did see that, though was looking for something less "robust" and slightly cheaper. At that price point I'd try making something first.
  6. Hello all, I was wondering if anyone might have a lead on a potential simple/low-profile top stage without any electronics. Essentially a dovetail + clamp with fore and aft fine tuning abilities. Would love to find something ready-to-buy, rather then building one myself or taking apart an old sled. This would be for for something non-steadicam related, for another type of camera support. Thanks in advance.
  7. Brett, I too was an early user of Teradek with their Cube and ended up returning it after a couple weeks; way too much latency and it just wasn't the right tool for the job. I recently picked up the HD-SDI Bolt a couple months ago and would like to share that the latency is much, much better. It sends the signal uncompressed whereas I believe the Cube compresses the video before sending. Works for 95% of my operating needs. Sometimes a thick wall does it in though...
  8. Looking for a digital or analog Bartech with cables and motor, preferably an M-One. Thanks.
  9. Ahaha that crash in the wall made me laugh. Great insight on the shot Charles.
  10. Great, thanks for the quick info guys!
  11. Hey all, about to purchase an f-bracket for my zephyr, however I'm not sure as to which one to buy. The Steadicam Zephyr manual lists part # 300-7901 (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/192877-REG/Steadicam_300_7901_3007901_Mini_Low_Mode_F.html However, when doing a search on BH I also found this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/192878-REG/Steadicam_078_7393_01_Mini_low_mode_kit.html Does anybody know the difference and could recommend which one I should get? Thanks in advance, John
  12. Hey Mark, I too own a Zephyr and would like to purchase the 2nd battery mount. Do you know the serial number and could recommend a website/dealer?
  13. I'm going to throw my sneaks from elementary school on your wall Kyle and have them stick!
