  4. Selling a Cinema Products 3A sled and accessories. Firstly, the old 12volt only system has been switched out with 2 Anton Bauer Gold mount plates allowing for either 12 or 24volt selection. Second, an HD BNC cable has been run down the rig allowing an HD BNC signal. Third, a 8pin LEMO video and power connector has been added to the bottom for video and power to the monitor with 1 cable. Lastly a PRO Junction Box was added allowing for all connections at the top to be PRO. This is a great starter rig and has served me very well. Also I am the third owner of this rig and modifications were done by previous owner. Package comes with: -3A Sled ( recently wired by Terry West) -3A Gimbal ( recently serviced by Robert Luna) -Docking Bracket (has a small crack on the mounting ring but still works fine) -Camera plates x2 - Custom Marshall 6.5" monitor mount - PRO to Bartech Cable -PRO to Arriflex 24volt cable -8 pin to XLR/BNC Power video cable for Marshall monitor -Anton Bauer Lifesaver Charger -Anton Bauer Hytron 50 x2 (need to be re-celled) Asking Price $3000 plus shipping (available for LA pick-up) Please email or message with any questions or if you want to see more pictures. horvee27@gmail.com
  5. Does anyone have any recommendations for an awesome CPA with entertainment experience in LA? Preferably in the valley but anywhere will do. Also are there any firms that you had a bad experience with and to stay away from? Thanks
  6. Cool, thanks for all the info Ron. They seem like pretty solid little monitors for the price. I may look into it a bit more for a possible backup monitor.
  7. Is anyone using this monitor? Thoughts? If so how are you mounting to your sled, is there a optional yoke for it?
  8. Hello Everyone, I have posted on the forum a couple of times, but feel a proper introduction is in order. I am a new operator based in Los Angeles. I have been interested in Steadicam ever since Tiffen did a demonstration at my school a couple years ago and I was able to try on a rig. I was hooked the minute I put it on. I recently took Robert Starlings 2 day business workshop, which I would recommend to anyone considering a career in Steadicam, (or the industry in general) and plan on taking his 2 day stabilizer workshop soon. I currently own a modified 3A sled with a Silver Spring arm and a Model II vest which I have been working with, and hope to upgrade in the near future. Being at NAB this week I have to say I am pretty impressed with the new equipment from all the manufaturers. It was a pleasure meeting some great operators at NAB this week, and a pleasure meeting some of the local L.A. operators over the past weeks. I hope to meet many more of you in the future. Please feel free to leave comments, questions, or message me if you are in L.A. and want to meet up sometime. Thanks, -Chris Horvath
  9. @Andrew, yes I contacted Tiffen but they have not returned my call yet. @Ron I will try Terry, hopefully he will be able to help. Thanks guys.
  10. I was wondering if there is somewhere in Los Angeles I can get my IIIA Sled and Gimbal serviced? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
  11. I ordered one of these Yokes from Tom, and can safely say it was very well made and definitely exceeded my expectations.
  12. Did you ever get any help with that Marshall 6.5 inch mounting problem? I bought the same monitor, but Marshall says they don't make a yoke for their monitors that small. I'm thinking about asking the guys at Modern Studio Equipment if they can fabricate one for me. Ryan Tom Wills is helping me out with a custom yoke for it. If you contact him he might be able to help you out.
  13. I have a 3A sled. I need the battery on the monitor unless I can power the monitor with an 8Pin LEMO cable which I do not think I can do with the Marshall
  14. Hey, I just got a new Marshall 6.5" with AB mount and am having a tough time finding a mount for my sled. I had this crappy pole mount but it kept moving around with the weight of the monitor and battery. If anyone could point me to a good mount that they use, or if you have modified your monitor to attach a yoke mount it would be most helpful with any info.
