2 Black Canisters - PRO
Dustin Heindl replied to Dustin Heindl's topic in Steadicam Marketplace - For Sale
SOLD -
Selling 2 canisters http://gpiprosystems.com/GPI-Pro-Price-Sheet.pdf I have 4 and I'll never use more than 2 at a time, considering selling all 4 though since I don't really steadicam anymore. It looks like they want 3300 PER canister new, so I was going to offer a buy one get one free, so $3300 for -2 or $6600 for -4 OBO - Like new condition, used less times than I have fingers to count. I have the Cinemonitor hd and I don't even own a hood the thing is so bright (at "user 100%") setting. It's got an amazing level and I upgraded to inertia compensation horizon, which isn't really needed. There is even a 6" version that they came out with that comes with a brighter screen and the upgraded horizon stock... Couldn't imagine even brighter. However, I used the Transvideo Rainbow when I had to send mine in and I couldn't see anything ... LIKE ANYTHING it was terrible. Had some cool features, but you could really only use it as a AC monitor with a nice hood.

It's the same as all digital motors, haden, preston etc. All the newer ones on the market -
You can use it on any sled. The thing you have to mcguiver a little is how the monitor mounts, because you have to use their mounting bracket so your monitor will always stay correctly oriented when spinning the rig around. If you have any questions let me know, I don't check this forum too often. Dustinheindl@gmail.com

It can actually use any handunit, Currently I'm using the Element Technica one. I considered making it click onto the redmote back, and I can, however... you can simply hang it off the back using the top cheese plate of the camera. See how the plate extends down to connect to the 15mm bridge, just connect that to the top of the camera instead. What do you think though? Personally this allows for all options, and with rosettes you can go from any of those configurations in seconds! Only downside to using the 2 AB Gold mounts is that it looks larger than it really is, but in the end, you are saving space by it being your source of power =) -
So, I cant say too much, but I showed some pictures of how you can set it up =) It takes the place of any power plate and has 12v/24v out to power RED Alexa or any other cable I can make for said camera. You can arrange it for single battery (see pics) or hotswap batteries for a more studio setup (see pics) Any digital motors will work, and the performance is similar to a preston. Smooth, Fast, Quet. I really can't tell a difference, and I timed the speeds. Aux power outs, and BNC Split option coming in next model. I'm in the market to upgrade my arm. I have the G50x, and it's either the G70x or the Pro Arm. Tough decision, I do like my steadicam arm, but I've never tried a PRO I'm going to try out the Pro arm tomorrow, but I will only really be able to compare it to my old G50x not a G70x, but I'll let you guys know! QUESTION FOR PRO OWNERS Is there a performance difference to using 2 instead of 4 canisters if you're flying less weight? Or you you recommend using 4 canisters of weaker resistance?

First Merlin 2 Test - Critique please

not bad considering it's with a 5dm2, because I assume you don't have a virtual horizon while flying it? -
I'm going to be upgrading soon and will be selling my Clipper 324 rig with G50x Arm Just got totally cleaned and service my Tiffen a few weeks ago! and as a result it looks like new =). Any questions refer to dustinheindl@gmail.com Probably asking around 30k$ Obo, I'm not sure what the going rate is so I'm open currently until I talk to tiffen steadicam. I have a Transvideo monitor with tally built in, but I'm not sure if I'll be keeping or selling together. For a good overview of the rig check out See Model here CLMZHORT82LXG5 - http://www.tiffen.com/userimages2/Steadicam/Clipper%20312_324.pdf http://heindlphotography.com/steadicam-operator/ And my info above^ dustinheindl@gmail.com E-Mail me for fastest response.

Secondhand Archer Rig - Australia
Dustin Heindl replied to Scotty Thorneycroft's topic in Steadicam Marketplace - Wanted
would you consider a Clipper 324, I may be selling mine soon. I don't really do TV broadcast stuff so I'm not sure what one has that the other doesn't, but I'm pretty sure the clipper is a higher end rig. Dustinheindl@gmail.com
