  1. Mike, There's a slew of these monitors out there and most of the headrest monitors are made by the same people. I have tried a crap load of them as back up monitors and to date as far as Headrest monitors go www.Pyleaudio.com has some pretty good ones. The main problem you run into is adapting the Power and video and mounting it on your rig, they don't always come with 1/4-20 screw holes. Once you find the one you like, pick the one with the most mounting options and the highest contrast ratio then search it out on the internet because the 2-$300 range monitors can be found for half the price from wholesalers. For the record, My 6" 4x3 Pyle High Res. TFT LCD headrest monitor has outdone alot of the other higher end monitors I have used. But for the price buy two because they aren't durable. and they will break or go down. Best of luck Peace Out Rob Vuona 310-993-0667
  2. Peter My friend, You are the guy for me after that comment . . . . . I would like to give you some money !!! . . . .LOL . . . I tried other vests and . . . .well . . . .call me sick but I still love the feel of my EFP heavily padded vest. Mohlstock almost had me sold on a Pro Vest but I tried Dave Eastwoods for a day of shooting and Blaagth . . . SO . . . . . I want to upgrade my EFP vest with buckles instead of that annoying velcro . . . .Got anything that can help ? Thanks . . . . . you Da Man ! EFP Vest

Hey does anyone know where I can get my EFP Vest outfitted with the master series kind of buckles or any kind of buckles for that matter . . . . .The Velcro just drives me crazy but I love the comfort of the vest . . . call me old fashion I guess . . . Thanks Rob Vuona 310-993-0667
  4. Hey Buster, XCS is one way to go along with MK-V for the replacement monitor arm, the MK-V looks way cooler with all those holes drilled in it . . . .LOL . . . I machined my own because like it was said before it crushes your bottom post and inhibits it from sliding smoothly, but if you drill a hole in the back of the collar that attaches to the lower post it will help the crushing and keep it from rotating on you. As far as the monitor goes, the tiffen 7" is nice the , The MK-V seems nice and the Boland 6.5 is suppossed to be out in Sept. HD/SDI and Composit with 2100 Nit brightness Good Luck Peace Out Rob Vuona
  5. Jeremy, Good on ya, for tackling this endeavor . . . . .keep the chin up . . . . .all of us will be on board after it's been tested and proved to be a solid product. I have been on the phone and emailing Boland for the past month regarding their 6.5" HD/SDI / Composit 2150 Nit monitor that Mike is proposing to build, they say they have some on order but won't have them ready until mid Sept if at all. They originally quoted me $3500 and then resinded that and said they had a rate increase and it will now be $4500. I even asked for the 8.4" to try out, which I feel is too big for steadicam but for that kind of brightness I could make it work. If your monitor is 1400 Nit and has a the anti-glare you are claiming and takes an HD/SDI & Composit signal, hell, I need one so quickly just composit would be ok, everything else for me is gravy. I don't even care what the power or video cable is I'll make the adapter. We all know it's a work in progress and the wish list is long . . . .If it works and ready NOW I'll be the Guinea Pig. Where and when ? Thanks again and keep on working on it . . . .!!! Peace Out Rob Vuona
  6. I talked to Boland today and they are making a 6.5 inch HD/SDI/Composit monitor with Daylight 1400 nits so what's the deal with the lack of 7" monitors . . . .? is there anything else on the the market for under $3800 . . .and if you get the sony folks to come out with a 7" monitor with that tranreflective shit please pass the info on because we all could use one of those Thanks
