  1. Hey peeps, Anyone have a Hedene Carat wireless follow focus? http://www.heden-engineering.com/ or have used one? Pro's / Cons ? Lastly, they are on Back order here in the states, anyone know where I could get one quickly? Thanks Robvski@aol.com
  2. I'll sell you mine . . . .with my Bartech fully serviced =)
  3. I used to keep all my batteries on Charge all the time, THEN . . . .AVS had a Lithium fire, as they described it , "it was like a roman candle and could not be put out until it burned out" Fortunately someone was there and they threw the charger out in the parking lot. Ever since then, I am way too paranoid to charge them in my garage unattended, I will always charge them at work, which is most of the time accept for ski season . . . =) JM2C
  4. I know some of you have your issues with Tiffen/Steadicam, But I assure you they are doing everything possible to become #1 in customer support . . . . . . =)
  5. I travel mine alot and Yes I use the their travel case, it does save the cart from scratches and worse dents from the airport peeps who just don't care. Two things to know about the case, 1. it fits to a specific direction, in other words there's a front and a back, but they are nearly indistinguishable and when TSA takes it off, they don't always get it put back on correctly. The remedy: put a piece of white Tape between the wheels on the cover and write, wheels with arrows pointing to the wheels. Since I have done this, they haven't screwed it up . . . . LOL 2. The side handles on the cover, are under reinforced at least they were on my Scout 31 case and the second time traveling it the TSA guys ripped it off, so be aware The boys over at Inovativ already said bring it in and they will get it all fixed up and they may have well already remedied these things for future bags but I totally say get the bag !! 6. Congrats, Glad everything worked out, Now you can say you are a Non Dyke on a Bike member =)
  7. @ Mikko, are you shooting Triax or Fiber ? If its Fiber, then you will need a Fiber adapter, 6 Foot piece is roughly $600 if its Triax, then all you need is Triax to Coax adapters, (Male and female) and you use a small BNC between the two. http://www.gepco.com/products/distributed/conntools_video/adapt_triaxtocoax.htm We have been flying triax like that for 15 years. @ Ozzie, why aren't you flying a triax adapter and you should run the cable behind your gimbal that way the gimbal keeps the cable out of the way of your grip
  8. Kat and Ozzie are correct, I suspect Chris will agree with me but i think you need to shorten your vest, I've only had this happen to me once and it was while wearing a WK Back mount that sat on my hips to low. As for your triax camera, what kind is it?, Take the handle off, take the viewfinder off, strip everything you don't need off of it, I have even taken boards out of a camera if they were not being used, getting a lighter plate would and losing a battery or two all will help. Lastly, steadi Ped sucks, sit it on a small table just to rest, then do your thing and go back to the small table . . . . . Hope that helps
  9. Juan, I know the guy selling the vest, I believe its still for sale, he just doesn't like the feel of a back mounted vest.
