I'm continuing to work with this rig until it sells so not interested in parting it out unless someone makes a tempting offer to buy the bulk of it. $32,000
  2. Discounted Rate for a Discounted Month (couple of days short of a full one)! $1 off an already killer price for a complete rig (minus the vest) ready to go including all sorts of extras. This rig has worked movies, TV, commercials, docs, and more. You'll need a vest and a body capable of rocking a Steadicam. That's it. Everything else included. Walk onto pretty much any set and get to work. This rig has flown everything from a DSLR (on a weight cage) to an Arriflex BL-4 in low mode (trust me, you do not want to do this but you can if you have to). $29,999,99. This offer will not last! (you've got 28 days before it jumps back up to $30K). Best way to reach me: camera -at- dancoplan -dot- com
  3. Don't miss the opportunity to get this before the new year and a BIG FAT TAX DEDUCTION! With the passing of the new tax bill it will actually cost you 5% more to get into this rig in 2018. Actually, not true. I don't know what is true other than this is a great rig ready to fly with everything included plus extra bits and bobs (minus the vest). Has served me very well throughout my career.
  4. Purchase this rig before the New Year and get it with no tax added and free delivery anywhere in Los Angeles! Actually, I'd do that anyway. Great rig - solid, reliable, and has served me very well for years.
  5. Bump: This is a fully functional Film/TV grade professional setup that includes everything you need except for the vest including all sorts of extras and doubles of a lot of things for backup (like cables, etc.). I just did two days on "Will & Grace" with this rig last week.
  6. Posting for a friend. See attached pics for details. He's asking $1500. Email Todd at todd.hickey.23 -at- gmail -dot- com.
  7. Steadyrig arm in excellent condition. Additionally includes speed crank for adjusting tension, soft case, hard case (not shown in picture), "sweat bands" which cover the two arm sections, and dust / rain cover. Range is 13 - 63 pounds. Asking $8500. Contact Dan: camera -at- dancoplan -dot- com

  9. Top and bottom plates supported by posts. Can be separated. Both plates have threads and one is heavier than the other so you essentially get 3 different weight combinations. $300. Contact me off list if interested. Dan Coplan 323-627-0773 camera -at- dancoplan -dot- com * sorry for the upside-down display - no idea why that's happening
  10. And apparently these pics decided to display sideways and upside-down. Sorry 'bout that.
  11. This isn't the entire package but the bulk of it. The vest and arm are in the soft green bag. Things are a bit crazy right now for me with work and moving so I just took these pics really quick but for anyone who's serious, I'm happy to provide better pics of whatever you want.

  13. Scratching my head trying to figure out what's going on. Alexa Mini, Teradek Bolt, and Redrock microRemote on a Ronin (don't blast me - I know this is a Steadicam forum but this topic is about signal interference). Everything worked great yesterday until the AC (w/FF) and DP (w/director's monitor) got about 10+ feet away from the rig and lost wireless video and FF control. Thought it might have been interference from where we were. Shot again today in a completely different location and same problem. I've used the Redrock dozens of times and never had a problem this bad. With the Teradek also losing signal I'm at a loss for what could be causing this issue. Any thoughts?
  14. Finally got around to calling my home insurance agent and they don't cover equipment used for business even though I told them I only want it covered while it's sleeping in my garage. I'll probably stick with WP Dolle but would be good to know about other potentially more affordable options considering the scenario in which I'm looking for coverage.
  15. I've been with W.P. Dolle for about 10 years and their rates seem reasonable for what they cover but I'm starting to question if it's money wisely spent in consideration of less expensive home policies. Would love to know other people's opinions. I never go out on a job without production providing an insurance cert which effectively means the premium I'm paying only covers the gear while it's sitting in my garage or going to/coming from a job. I haven't yet priced out home policies for my gear but I have had a home policy for a long time covering personal items like computers, clothing, dishes...general stuff. Can't remember the details (buried in a folder somewhere) but I think I'm probably paying something like $200/yr. to cover around $30-35K worth of property. If that same rate applies to my Steadicam gear then I'd be paying close to half what I'm paying W.P. Dolle. Thoughts? Opinions?
  16. I don't see why it matters. They're renting gear - who cares the nature of the entity they're renting from. I've worked as both an employee and contractor and, as is STANDARD in our business, I insist on production insurance. No insurance, no workie-workie from me. I also typically have the client sign a simple agreement that they are responsible for the gear and if they have a deal memo that has a section noting that they're not responsible, I cross it out. I think I've only come up against a production once that told me they wouldn't cover the gear and I told them [see above], "No insurance, no workie-workie from me." (not in those exact words). They buckled, as they should have, and provided me with insurance. This is one issue I absolutely will not compromise on.
  17. Umm...maybe! But is that, gulp, $5700? Looking at the price list and there's also an analog version that's $2875 until stock runs out?
  18. I'm currently running an HD cable directly from camera to my monitor. Anyone know if there's a digital level out there that will take the HD signal from a standard BNC, mix in the level info, and spit it out the other end also BNC to run directly into the monitor? Would obviously have to be independently powered as opposed to other levels that take multipins containing power and video. Dan
  19. Thanks everyone for your replies. I wasn't able to check every battery against the stated voltage on the camera and time how long they lasted but the last set I put on there read 30V on the camera and they got me through the scene we were shooting so hard to say what's going on. Alec, maybe you're right about the cell count. Every battery I have is under 100 cycles except for two of them with one reading 183 and one reading 392. And the day I was having the problems I was just running off the batts the whole time. Shawn's trick to run the camera off a block in between setups or long waits between takes is a good one. Does the age matter or just the cycle count? Any idea how many cycles before I should get them recelled? Are there any power management settings in the camera that might help get the most out of the batteries rather than cutting out early? How much time should I reasonably expect to get out of the camera with Alexa + Cinetape + Preston + Transmitter (Teradek in this particular case)? Brett, I'm checking out the Vect 6 batts...http://www.vectshop.com/free-shipping-etan130-anton-bauer-type-gold-mount-liion-battery-packwith-a-usb-output-5v-2a-p-2.html 130 Wh at 1/4 pound heavier for less than $200 sounds pretty good. Will these charge on an AB charger or you have to get their charger?
