  1. Hi Eddie Email me on robin.thwaites@tiffen.com, I can ship them from the UK. Depending on the age of the vest they may have changed design slightly so it may be worth replacing all 4. Robin
  2. Hi Scott Available to order now $8,250.00, talk to Rey Reyes at Burbank. Best Robin
  3. Arm capacity is 30lbs, deduct the weight of the sled and any non camera accessories (extra batteries, weights etc.) to get your maximum camera weight. 30lbs CAMERA weight is definitely over. Lower spar has 1/4 20 screw holes in the ends for weights. Robin
  4. Hi Darius Please e-mail me at robin.thwaites@tiffen.com, I may be able to help. Best regards Robin
  5. Hi Ryan We usually set up the battery below the lower spar so it maximises the fore and aft positional possibilities. Not seen it done this way, did you have a specific reason? Robin
  6. Hi Marco Many thanks for your reply, I have not seen your websales e-mail as it was handled by Danny Hallett who has now moved on from Tiffen, this is also why you have not seen a reply. As I mentioned, I would appreciate an email to robin.thwaites@tiffen.com and we can resolve whatever the problem is. Robin
  7. Hi Marco It is true I am currently in Dubai but only since this week, I have seen any e-mails from you. I am sure that you have my e-mail address from previous communications however if not please feel free to e-mail me at robin.thwaites@tiffen.com. More than happy to sort out whatever issues you have. Best regards Robin
  8. Hey Dan You have plenty of options, probably easiest if you give me a call 01753 783960. Robin
  9. Hi Matt Not sure what you are referring to with the swaying, is it just the movement when it is on the stand? Looks like not waiting for the rig to settle down unless there was a draft moving it :-) Just a little work on the dynamic to get it perfect and with that camera you could go a little more than 2 seconds. Robin
  10. Hi Matt Flip the battery mount round 180 degrees which will allow you to get the monitor further from the post. You may well still benefit from taking a couple of the weights from the battery side and putting them under the monitor. Robin
  11. 70-80 Watt size if you are using DSLR's, 90-110 Watt if you are using heavier cameras. Not a strict rule but given the choice........
  12. Hi Fred If you can run to V-lock batteries that gives you by far the biggest choice for Europe. If you need to travel you can rent them rather than carry on aeroplanes making your life easier. Robin
  13. Hi Shane Give Joe Wilbur a call at Burbank, I stand to be corrected but I think the part number is 252-7808. If you decide to fit it yourself you will need to change the fittings from the old one onto the new. Robin
  14. Hi Christophe Give Cartoni France a call, they will be more local for you. Robin
  15. Tiffen International take great pleasure in announcing our GOLD STEADICAM WORKSHOP for this autumn. The dates are 20th - 25th November and the location is in the heart of England near Windsor at the elegant Beaumont House conference centre with it's sweeping staircase, billiard room and other fantastic working areas. As last year We have enlisted a host of great operators to help you through the experience so you can not only work with the cream of the crop of operators but also with top end Steadicam systems including the new Steadicam M-1 and others, we will have a vehicle rigging day and plenty of inspirational evening sessions. This is a residential workshop which will include all accommodation, meals etc. all you will need to buy is the occasional beverage in the evening. For more information please go to http://flysteadicam.tiffen.com/product/steadicam-gold-workshop/ FaceBook/FlySteadicam or e-mail directly to robin.thwaites@tiffen.com or dhallett@tiffen.com.
  16. Hi Alan Your Shadow V should have the same 4 pin Lemo as the M-1, wiring can be found in the on-line manual http://www.tiffen.com/userimages2/Steadicam/2015_Steadicam_Price_Lists/M1_manual_LIT-815000_sm.pdf Please note that this is an active circuit designed to power the Tiffen tally sensor so is a little more complicated than just a through connection, if you are in the US a call to the factory would be a good idea. Also I suggest you change your identity to your full name, this forum is pretty hot on that :-) Robin
  17. Hi Damian The standard 6" version is part number 800-7204-03 from the factory but if you want a custom length don't do the sleeve thing, much letter to get something turned from solid. Best Robin
  18. Hi Stan Sorry I was travelling, I will e-mail you today. Robin
  19. Hi Brian You have a side to side adjustment on the Smoothee to allow for offset weights which will certainly give you a degree of compensation. If you run out of adjustment there is nothing wrong with weighing the lens and adding an equivalent on the opposite side of the phone as long as you remember that you will need to add more bottom weight. Aim for a drop time of about a second (time taken for the rig to return to vertical from the horizontal position). Good luck and let us know how you get on. Robin
  20. Let me see what I can do from here. Robin
  21. An aircraft hold can be very chilly and extending the period will not make much difference - except batteries of course. I would take batts and monitor inside to avoid damp and just keep a check on things like screws coming loose. I would be more worried about damp or warm damp conditions. Robin
  22. Hi Kelsey Spoke to the guys at the factory and this was what they said. This may be because the threads in the lift adjuster or the bearing in the carrier is a little worn. Alternatively the adjuster mechanism may be a bit loose causing the LIFT knob to rotate a bit as the adjuster flexes slightly when booming up or down. We would suggest that the arm come in for check over or service to tighten up the adjuster and/or replace the worn parts. Hope that helps. Robin
  23. Hi Dom Contact me on robin.thwaites@tiffen.com or Danny at dhallett@tiffen.com. Best Robin
