m1 wins the shootout
-
hey glen i maybe doing this to my artemis but i'll be going with the m1tiffen gimbal to accommodate the volt, this is who you want to talk to at stiffen Tyson Gallard, tgallard@tiffen.com
-
thank you frank i'll do that this week
-
i'm going to look at the m1 volt at NAB but i do own a "wave" and it works wonderful a majority of the time, but i do also use it on my two axis remote heads to create that third axis which is a bonus and there's other applications you can use the "wave"(hand held, the betz twister, easy rig or on your dolly) and this is where you can't use the m1 volt
-
yes i do balance it side to side and for and aft
-
aloha roman, i've bee using mine and the locking pin seems to keep it solid but my question is, what's the best drop time for the wave it sometimes seems to throw me off when it's correcting the horizon not often but from time to time,it starts to feel top heavy and i'm at a bout a 2.5 second drop time
-
i used it on the 2018 ironman event in hawaii and i did some serious sprinting and it was solid on the horizon

CINEGEARS DIGITAL FOLLOW FOCUS 1500$ new!!!
mark morgan replied to jorge agero's topic in Follow Focus
i bought one and it had a lot of ramping so i called them and they said there are three levels of ramping but the new multi axis doesn't have the ability to change that so i sent mine in so they could take the ramping out lets see what happens when it comes back and they offered to send me a lender til mine got fixed but other wise that for the price it could be worth it -
aloha everyone to start my hats off to all steadicam ops and a hugh thanks to dave chameidas your shit ROCKS been watching your work for many years and thanks for a great thread so okay lets try this  after blowing my knee out thought i would put together a reel not all my favorite stuff but stuff i had available to work with and there is one shot that has a lot of vibration which wasn't my rig but a red camera with some loose screws on the lens mount we found out later but it was a super fun low mode shot and both the dp and director liked it  so i threw it in and also i included a oner music video we did for a 48 hour film contest mark morgan www.steadicamhawaii.com

you could go with a garfield mount to a fisher 11 dolly probably with a camera riser, might not get as high as a ramp but it would go from low to a bit higher than normal and still very clean just my 2 cents

THX AFTON,LOL SO TRUE AND DO YOU ALSO HAVE A FEW MARBLES I CAN BORROW ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I SEEM TO HAVE LOST A FEW

i have to chime in here,i have been using my sachtler artemis efp pro hd,sdi rig for the last 6 years on live events and other various jobs, the upper junction box comes with 3x bnc lines all work with hd sdi signals and sd signals thru the post,2x camera power ports,2x follow focus power ports which can double as tally light power and signal thru post,1x aux power can also double as upper tally light output, lower junction box has 3x bnc's,1x monitor power and 1x aux power also doubles as tally light out,the sled will do 12volt and 24volt switchable and will also do in the 12volt mode switch from one battery to the other for monitor and camera as the main one is dying,i've been able to fly anything from dslr's to arri 535's and all those in the middle except never done 3d "YET"with no problems, but i did change to the XCS gimbal with ergo handle because i really love that handle but both gimbal bearings feel nearly identical just the sachtler handle was to short for my big hands and the monitor view is much better with the ergo handle

BE AWARE --People trying to hire operators--SCAM
mark morgan replied to Kevin's topic in General Discussion
HAHA I GOT THE SAME SHIT I NEW IT WAS A SCAM RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE BUT I HAD A GREAT TIME STRINGING HIM ALONG -
hi pedro, now could you mount or flip the rear balance mechanism up so that you have more room for pans and freedom while operating i know it may change your post length since you probably don't want to go any heavier at the bottom of your sled, by the way i got to do some live 3d stuff with the element technica guys and they were great to work with best regards
-
yes it can handle big loads and is one of the most comfortable vest out there
