  2. Hi There, The photo in question is of my system. It is a flyer monitor attached to a hard plastic plate that connects to the bottom of the master series monitor by elongated screws. The 3 Screws must be attached center first then the sides, or else the CRT will disconnect internally. Had difficulty finding the right size screws; too short it will not connect, too long and it will press hard into components. Resolved by using the longer screws and adding a washer to each between the plate and monitor housing. I am out of town at the moment, so I can?t give specific dimensions and sizes till I return. 3. Hello Matt, I just purchased one from B&H a few weeks ago. The link that you are pointing to is just for the individual fixture itself, which does not include the Ballast, 4-pin XLR cable, Fluorescent tube need to operate. Make sure you click on the "this Item includes" tab. The following link is to the Kamio 6E, bulb not include: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller...oughType=search The next link is for the Kamio 6 set I purchased, still with out the bulb but can be used with a matte box and filters. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller...oughType=search Again these are the basic kits to have it operate; the full kits with all the accessories will cost a lot more. 4. Just a recap on a message I sent to Dave if anyone else was wondering. The monitor Tiffen uses on the flyer is manufactured by CCHT - CREATE CENTURY HIGH-TECH CORP. in Taiwan. The following is a link to the monitor on their site: http://www.cchitech.com.tw/marn02-CM10-070NP.htm And here is the layout & specs from the Tiffen steadicam Manual. 5. I am currently making 9pin din to 4pin adapter for my LCD monitor but I am having the hardest time trying to track down a female 4pin hirose connector. I have found a couple places that sell the male 4pin connector but not the female 4 pin without the quick connect collar. Trying to make it so I could just simply unplug from my CRT on my master series to the LCD and get the frame lines without having to run a line from the top stage. Any suggestions where I can find any these connectors? Thanks. Del
  6. Hi Gus, The monitor I am using is the 7" Widescreen LCD (602-7500) that Tiffen uses on the Flyer model. I just mounted it in front of my CRT, which still has a better image in sunlight and other applications. The cable running down in front is only so I can get framelines on the LCD otherwise I would connect onto the lower output, at least until I finish making a 9pin din to female 4pin adapter to just unplug from the CRT to the LCD. To answer some questions form others, The Ringlight is a Kino Flo Kamio 6 with a homemade rod mount that secures into it from one of the filter slots. The ballast for the unit is onto of the camera and is powered thru an Anton Bauer powertap. The system has been modified to supply true 24v power from two batteries with ?Watt?s Up? Watt Meter and Power Analyzers Take Care, Del B) Remember, I'm pulling for ya. We're all in this together! -Red Green
  7. Hi all, Just did my first gig, a live music performance, with my system the other night. It wore me out by the end of the night out but I loved it. I was going to get an New Archer but I took the opertunity to get a used Master Series in great condition. I had purched the system over a month ago but bad timming with a foot injury kept my from flying it. Now I am up and running and have a fashon show on the 16th. I just looked at the victora secret show that was on the other night and noticed they had a motor controled camera by the stage which I will be takeing the place of on this show. My Question, Has anybody ever worked a fashon show with models on a runway and have any tip or pointers? Thanks, Del Again thanks for everything and keep your stick on the ice. - Red Green

  9. Hi everyone, Just need some advice on which would be a better choice to start out with - Buying a good wireless focus unit or a video transmitter, can't afford them both at this point. Del
  10. Hello Everyone, I will have the funding to get myself a Steadicam rig soon. I know the system that I am going to get if I am buying new. But, have seen some used systems on the market that could give me more options. I will, of course, make a trip to test drive the used system and would like some advise what to check for as I essentially 'kick the tires'. Del B)
  11. Hello everyone, I am working on getting an archer system of my own and I have been following the posts about the archers and the 24v Mods. I have seen so far that it requires making a separate mount for the second battery. I have run across an item called a V-Mount Hot Swap Adapter that attaches to the regular V-mount and allows both batteries to sit on the end. I was wondering if anyone has tried this and if it could be modified to provide the 24v. Following is a picture and a link to B&H where I saw it. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller...egoryNavigation  Del
  12. Hi Tom, I have recently formed as a Single Member LLC in my state; each state is different and this may or may not an available option in your state. The five structures that are available in the US are Sole Proprietorships, Partnerships, LLCs, S-Corporations and C-Corporations. The following link has a good comparison between S Corp and LLC. http://www.powerhomebiz.com/vol136/structure.htm Whatever type you decide on, it is highly recommended that you sign an operating agreement. It doesn?t matter how basic the operating agreement is, there are available templates online, just have one. Good Luck, Del
