  1. Totally depends on your rig and your preference in weight distribution. Most big rigs were originally designed for a green screen monitor that weight 5 lbs. Two batts in the rear are about 4 lbs. A somewhat equal force.
  2. Also, You now have 3 real world choices from Transvideo. The 6" and 8" X-sbl 4/3 and now the new 7" 16/9 Stargate. All are daylight viewable and have a build in level.
  3. Best package of features and quality in my opinion Transvideo x-sbl 6 or 8 inch. I own one for 2 years, 0 issues.
  4. Love my Pro vest, for the last 10 years...
  5. It should fit on any arm, since it's basically a 1 section extender, male and female socket block on either end.
  6. Not exactly, that's why XCS offers 2 variants.

  8. for night work in the Transvideo go to image profile and select Linear vs 709 and you can look beautifully into the shadows. Also make sure to upgrade the software, this enables you to still adjust brightness and contrast in linear mode,I use it for all ext work, day and night.

  12. Anybody is using this case, as a sled case?
  13. Used Transvideo Rainbow HD (450 nits) package. Comes with Transvideo swing arm, 3 pin Arri power cable, Pelicase and Plexi screen protector. Great for camera operating. $1400
  14. Doubtful that the specs are correct, that means that the monitor at 2500 nits uses only 1 Amp of current, makes no sense, sorry. And heat will be an issue that they have to deal with, otherwise the life of the LCD matrix is reduced. The dp7 high bright uses already 24 watts
  15. If you have a 3k budget look at the Transvideo Stargate FHD. Not as bright on paper, but fully featured including level sensor, zoom, and recording function. http://www.transvideo.eu/store/on-board-and-field-monitors
  16. Turn off "cal on tap" in the horizon menu. Or contact support, no battery inside.
