  1. Thanks for the advice, I'm thinking that if I have to add significant wight to the sled to make a heavier build work then I will for sure be pushing the envelope weight wise... If the Aero 30 is the Zephyr replacement then how come Steadicam are still selling the Zephyr? Kind of confusing...
  2. Trying to figure out my base weight minimums for a Steadicam Archer 2. If I fly an Alexa Mini with approx 20lb payload on the sled, what would be the minimum weight I would need to add to the base to make this run smoothly? I'm looking at monitor options and whether I need to mount 2 batteries or if I can live with 1. Small HD monitors are pretty light vs Transvideo....
  3. Earlier in this thread someone was saying that the Zephyr had been discojntinued and replaced by the Aero 30? The Zephyr is still sold on BH and listed as current on Stadicam website... What are the real world differences between the Zephyr and Aero 30? From what I can see the Aero 30 has the same vest, arm, gimbal and center post as the Zephyr?
  4. Any Steadicam pros located in Los Angeles interested in doing a one on one training session? I can be very flexible schedule wise and obviously would expect to pay. I'm interested in learning about cine set ups, 20lbs & up. (Zephyr and up) I've been working in the industry for 20+ years and I really want to add the Steadicam aesthetic to my tool kit. pm me if interested. Thanks in advance.
  5. Was hoping for some advice from some seasoned ops out there. (Tried posting in Newbie area but no joy... sorry for repost) I’m looking at the Zephyr to fly an Alexa Mini. A couple of questions: 1. How is the supplied monitor? Has it been updated since the Zephyr was introduced as in some images it looks pretty old and clunky... 2. As far as a Steadicam goes, are there any compromises with the Zephyr - other than weight limitations? i.e. is it more difficult to get super smooth shots vs more expensive models? 3. As the Zephyr seems to have been out for a while is it likely to be u
