  1. Hi Chris I have an Archer 1 as a backup sled and i also have rather large hands ;-) So changing the gimbal has crossed my mind as well... Could i ask what you changed to? All the best Sebastian
  2. Hi Guys... I have to admit that after the second time around the artist I was getting a bit bored...BUT then the operator opened up and you reailzed that it was all really nicely timed and thought through....working very nicely with movement and the zoom to create some nice effects! All in all very smooth and impressive. Also I am pretty sure he (or she) had to work pretty hard to avoid the shadows from the artists follow spot... In my opinion a VERY nice shot...it looked almost to simple to start with but we all know how hard it is to make things look that easy don´t we. Definately KUDOS to whoever it was. Just my 5cents... All the best /Seb.
  3. Hi there Nestor... God to hear that you are out there working after the workshop. The rentalhouse you are talking about has an EFP rig as well! There is an old J-bracket in that kit...you can probably borrow that one! Give me a call otherwise... Sebastian Jewell
  4. Hi All... I was just curious Ben is it possible for you to just rent the sled and get a lesser daily rate? I am based in Sweden and have tried that a couple of times and the rental houses don't seem to be so keen on the idea! The idea of having my own arm has struck me too. When it comes to the purchasing a rig option, personally i have spent a lot of money on buying my own vest and all possible accs. like cables, widgets etc. I guess it feels a lot better knowing that a rental rig that can sometimes come up short isn't a problem when i have the extras myself... All the best. Sebastian
  5. Hi guys...has anyone heard of this company-freetradephoto.com- in the states? Thinking of getting an onboard recorder from them and shipping it to Sweden! Just curious if anyone had done business with them in the past? All the best/ Sebastian Jewell
  6. Hey there... Just got back from the north of Sweden...24 Celsius below zero...pretty F***ing cold! Sorry for straying from the topic, but i was curious about the little box on top of the monitor? is it a tally box or frameline maybe? Oh and by the way Rob have you moved down there for good? seems like you've been there for a while. All the best- Sebastian Jewell Stockholm,Sweden.
  7. hi there Rob... I just read your post about the "big stiff triax cable", are you seriously saying that you did the shot with original cable after he cut the "new" one in two! I guess i´m old fashioned but i don´t think i would have done it...! What´s better annoying the Dp or not getting any more jobs because of operating badly?(because of dodgy cables) Hoping you didn´t... Sebastian Jewell Steadicam Operator Stockholm.Sweden
  8. Hi guys, Flemming isn't your gimbal basically brand new? i seem to remember you mentioning a while ago that you had just recieved it! I have had that kind of trouble with older Efp-gimbals and is usually a case of the gimbals being worn out...earings,play etc. like some of you said.It seems a bit scary that a pretty new gimbal would have the same symptoms... Sebastian Jewell.
