  1. If Joe doesn't take it Rob, I'll take it off your hands. I'm in LA at the moment and will be at NAB so could grab it off you personally. 213-268-9677
  2. For sure. There are a few that I know of that will be there. Definitely keen for a beer in Sin City.
  3. Sorry for your loss Jessica. Thank you for sharing.
  4. Not sure about Justin but I remove the viewfinder when doing broadcast work. Using the front tally lights just isn't a practical solution.
  5. If you want to check it against the Boxx system give me a yell. Might help you troubleshoot it.
  6. Well said Dave. The power to say "No" is something that should be present at every level and it is up to the Senior in each department to give that power to his crew.
  7. There are/have been several courses in Oz in recent years and a number of operators living in the Melbourne area that would be worthwhile contacting. Louis and James Puli are the first on that list as they often instruct on the courses. Hope that helps.
  8. I do note that Howard has one sitting on ebay at the moment if that is any help.
  9. Jack took my arm and replaced the rod ends with a solid block adaptor when he found out I was using a back mount. The new block is rock solid but it does preclude you from the standard adjustment that you would use on a front mounted vest.
  10. Peter Hoare was thinking about offering a service to repair M-One's if you have no luck with Palomar Rob.
  11. I have the original Camtec one and the latest version. Invaluable tools. They drop perfectly into the Betz topstage and are very rigid and lightweight. Highly reccommend them.

  13. The big question is what has Airpul got to hide? If they don't think we are going to discuss the pros and cons of their system amongst ourselves why would you bother coming onto a public forum to announce it? By putting your money where your mouth is you have everything to gain and nothing to lose if the product is as good as you claim it to be. And if it doesn't prove to be as good as you had hoped in the real world application then take on board any concerns and work on improving it. It is a win win situation for you. You only stand to lose if you are not being truthful and are being found out.
  14. Have to admit my latest addition to my kit is fast becoming my favorite. I do a lot of live work in very noisy environments and the rt comms provided are often less than adequate. I bought a Lectrosonics IFB which I get them to hook into the comms system and now have crystal clear comms in my right ear and scratchy old rt in my left. So much better than the old headsets out of an rt that nobody cares for.
  15. Careful what information you let out Kris. You'll have Ron Baldwin raiding your cases when you're not looking.
  16. Brad, we the steadicam community have seen a lot of companies come and go over the years that promise the next big thing only to produce nothing after running off with the money of the few faithful that were prepared invest early in them. As a result we tend to be very skeptical of anyone who makes claims such as you have here and is then unwilling to make any effort to back them up. You haven't even managed to show anyone a physical product let alone allowed them to see any test results. I could draw a CAD design up and tell everyone that it is powerful enough to drill a hole in the moon but until we all see a doughnut hanging in the sky there is going to be skepticism. Take Victor's advice and allow someone to test it or you might find your customer base walking away from you before you even start.
  17. Hi Tuomas, I have been using Globalmediapro batteries for over 8 years. I have 6x95ah and 10x190ah as I have 3 different sleds now but used to have 6 sleds of different manufacture. The original batteries that I bought have started to die in the last year or so but in general they have been brilliant. I've never failed to run a camera with them and have managed over 4 hours non-stop run time on an Alexa in 24volt mode on my AR Revolution with V2 electronics which are known for some dropoff in voltage from the bottom to the topstage but I'm sure there are plenty who are happy to tell you about that. Over the same period I have killed off over a dozen Dionic 90's, half a dozen Hytron 140's, half a dozen Hytron 50's and half a dozen Proformers. While I like Anton Bauer batteries I will simply say the Globalmediapro batteries in my experience have simply outlasted them and have powered everything I have thrown at them. The new HC's are next on my capex list.
  18. Good way to start building a trustworthy working relationship with your major potential customer base. Lie to them about where you are based and then refuse to actually show them any physical products without demanding full payment up front. Something smells rotten in. .....
  19. I am having a clean out of my workshop so it is time for some things to go. I have a 19inch single stage Pro2 post complete with cable and bayonet mounts at both ends. It was part of an aborted running rig build (bought a complete lite rig) and is as rigid as they come. Perfect for a lightweight system. Asking $650 + shipping. martin@adrenochrome.co.nz
  20. I have a barely used BFD ser#884 and and M-One motor ser#392 kit for sale. It comes with 2 Pro to BFD receiver cables and some camera run cables along with motor cable. It has 4 of Louis Puli's plastic marker rings instead of the traditional tape strips. I haven't used this kit in over 2 years and it has barely done 10 days on set since new so it is time for it to go. The kit is located in New Zealand so I will send the kit to Jim Bartell for a service at my cost and then have him ship it to the new owner at theirs so you only pay the shipping from Bartech Engineering in LA. Price is US$3500 Cheers, Martin martin@adrenochrome.co.nz
  21. Alan I get your point... but apparently we can't
