  1. Hello all;

    I've got a Steadyrig arm with a stuck aircraft pin. Does anyone know who might be able to unstick it here in Canada? Or better yet a safe DIY alternative. I've tried the WD-40 technique without success.

  2. I am looking for a riser handle for my rig. Basically It would be an intermediate piece between the arm and the sled. I would like to get the sled higher without putting more tension on my arm. Does this kind of thing exist?

  3. :) Check this out as an alternate way to get 24v to your camera.

    I ran an SR3 with this Vicor converter for 2 months. If you buy one you will need the connectors. My AC used the plastic box it shipped in as a case. It will power the camera and video assist no problem. I initially ran my BFD off of the 24v to 12v converter on the camera but that puts 3 devices on the Vicor and it didn't like it. I had a y cable made for the 12v out on the sled. One side was for the Bartech and the other for the Vicor. Make sure you pull off the eyepiece heater cable.

    My rig maxes out at 25lbs so having the on-board battery would put it over the edge.

  4. I hooked up my BFD to an SR2 today with a stop-start cable and unfortunately nothing happened. Do older SR2's have a problem being started this way. The camera is going to the shop tommorrow any insight would be appreciated.

  5. Can one remove the cold cathode filament tube and replace it with a piece of translucent plastic? My thinking is that it is hard to see your average LCD in bright sunlight because the LCD backlight is so dark compared to the sun. A piece of translucent plastic would pick up the ambient light from behind which would be brighter that the existing light source. It would be like the lcd panels that you can put on an overhead projector. Any thoughts.?

  6. I figured the vest had the controls. Does anyone have a CU picture of this part? I own a Hollywoodlite Running Rig. It's a great low cost rig that quite nicely even on longer lenses. The gimbal is smooth and the arm to take up to 25 pounds of camera. Without the pitch adjustment I find I can't sustain a shot too long without feeling it in my back. I sure physical fitness is part of the problem.
