  1. Check out the following interview about the Lego Movie. esp'y at about the 8:30 mark. I'm starting to think I sold my rig just in time! http://www.fxguide.com/fxguidetv/fxguidetv-186-the-lego-movie/
  2. Klassen Dual mount vest. This is the vest that gives the best of both worlds, (and the flexibility!). You can back mount the rig or for tight spaces or walking forwards/shooting backwards, front mount the arm. I bought the vest in 2008 and it is in good shape, but obviously used. It comes with the usual accessories as well as the additional socket block for front mounting. Now asking C$3,700.00 and I will ship wherever at your cost. This vest is good for someone who is 5'8" tall +/- 2", about 155 lbs +/- 10 lbs, and has a 30" waist +/- 2". Walter will work with the purchaser to assure a good fit. Thanks Rod 416 720 7358

  4. Well, I sold the rig, except for the vest. (The buyer was somewhat larger than I am). So I have a Klassen Universal Dual mount vest. This is the vest that gives the best of both worlds, (and the flexibility!). You can back mount the rig or for tight spaces or walking forwards/shooting backwards, (also known as the "Don Juan"), front mount the arm. I bought the vest in 2008 and it is in good shape, but obviously used. New this harness with carrying bag goes for over $7,000. I'm asking $4,800 plus whatever shipping and taxes are due. This vest is good for someone who is 5'8" tall +/- 2", about 155 lbs +/- 10 lbs, and has a 30" waist +/- 2". Walter will work with the purchaser to assure a good fit. Thanks Rod 416 720 7358

  6. Enjoy the freedom. Unfortunately there are just as many cheap a-holes that you will run up against, (look at the Craigslist thread), but at least you are in a better position to just walk away.
  7. Well as promised, here is my full steadicam package for sale. This system has served me well and is now waiting for its next "dance" partner. I would like to sell it as a complete package and not part it out. 8. So...it's the end of almost 30 years for me...Last week I did my last Steadicam shot before I hang up the rig, (and put it up for sale). An easy walk and talk in front of Metro Hall. 3 takes... moving on. I'm NOT stopping doing camera work. I'm NOT retiring. I'm just not doing Steadicam. It's tough for me to give it up, as I enjoyed the "dance", but I know that in 10 years time I'll still be able to walk up and down stairs without a problem. ps. I'll be posting my rig for sale in a couple of days.
  9. I'm back in Toronto. Call me when you get things organized @ 416 720 7358.

  10. Rod, that sounds good. I just have to check with my friend to see where he is staying, etc. I'm out of town for a few days too, so I'll get back to you later this coming week. Thanks, Chris

  11. Let's settle on $175, and I'll drop it off. I'm out of town and out of reach for the next few days, back Tuesday.

  12. Rod, I am interested in the case; I need a light case, however the cost of shipping and re-foaming is high. I might be able to get a friend who is working in Toronto to bring it down the next time he comes home. In that case, would you be willing to take $150 and drop it off at his hotel? Let me know. Thanks, Chris.

  13. Hi Chris

I'm not sure what you mean by "hardened aluminum" It has a waffle pattern in the metal and that seems to have kept it quite rigid over time. Shipping to LA w/ Fedex is $120 for 5day gnd and $230 for 2day air
