  1. Pics below. Also, a freind found out that you can upgrade to the gimballed post holder for about $1000 whihc would still keep it under the price of a new arm from them. IMG_1186.HEIC IMG_1185.HEIC IMG_1184.HEIC IMG_1183.HEIC IMG_1182.HEIC IMG_1181.HEIC IMG_1180.HEIC IMG_1179.HEIC IMG_1178.HEIC
  2. Bought this after trying out George Billingers and loving it. Used it for a handful of shots and the slightly longer socket area makes my arm (the one attached to my body) sit odd. At 6’4” my arm has always rested on the steadicam arm. Guess you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. So off to a new owner it goes. This is the first version of the arm which means you can use your standard size PRO posts but it does not have a spinning gimbal in the arm that allows the post to rotate freely. . I actually got it for that because I dont like a free spinning post. The newer version uses their proprietary arm posts and spins freely and is a different color. It's a great little arm, light, and a massive boom range, certainly more than the PRO arm has. There’s a reason a lot of top ops love it and have switched and I was right there as well. Paid $8500 for it once you factor in shipping, import taxes and use taxes (that was a new one) and as it’s new and they only sell the second gen now for 10K before all the other fees I’d like to get as close to that as possible but make me an offer. Cash appreciated to keep it off the books and if you are good for it I’m fine to do a payment plan. Lemme know and thanks Dave https://www.nbstabilizer.com/arm 57b4e8_bec97745e1bd468ab204ebc7467e56c1~mv2-1.png.webp

Depending on timing NM is a possibility as well.

  6. Looking to buy a PRO sled. Upgraded, not upgraded, let me know what you have, conditioner dn how much you want. Thanks Dave
  7. Purchased new in May and used five or six times. Retails for $7700 new. Looks and works like new with no issues. 4 pin xor cable and the other is a 4 pin lemo (small male video/power on most rigs). I had to change this over myself in the field. Works great and is solid but isn't extremely pretty. Happy to have it professionally done if you are ok with holding off. Available August 1. Price does not include shipping. Email me at proteusmd@gmail.com if interested.
  8. I'm interested in the hermaphrodite. Does he/she require daily feeding and would they take issue with light housework? Also I tend to be doing more Arri shows lately but wouldn't bring it up around the house. Will this be an issue as this is a Panavision hermaphrodite? I'll take my answer off the air.
  9. That's unsubstantiated at best. Besides, I keep it in my underwear like everyone else.
  10. Anyone who knows me knows I try to do things differently and I've always balked at buying $200 items that common sense says I can figure out another way. Finally broke down and got an HD monitor (although I've yet to use it). A Small HD DP7. Won't fit in my case and I'm used to pulling my green screen for travel anyway so I went to Cabelas and found this little number. Under $30 and fits like a glove, plus the inside of the lid is soft "fur" and acts to protect the screen. It's a soft case so for any kind of traveling you'll want it inside a larger piece but for going to and from set or for a backup monitor this works great. Perfect fit for the monitor with yolk. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Bulldog-Hard-Sided-Nylon-Case/730575.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dpistol%2Bcase%26x%3D10%26y%3D6%26WTz_l%3DHeader%253BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=pistol+case Case.tiff
  11. Taj, email me at proteusmd@mac.com. I may want this. Why are you selling? Dave
  12. Have had this in the basement for a while. Has two AB plates up top and connectors in the font for charging different batteries. I used to use these for my old 3A batts with that connector. Fires up and fans and lights go on. No reason to think it doesn't work but as it's fairly old being sold as is. Buyer pays actual shipping. Email me with any questions. Shipping form CT.
  13. Don't know what to get that special op for the holidays? Well fret no more, here's everything you want in one place! Who could ask for more? You can. With each purchase you'll also get one piece of refreshing gum* so you'll make a good impression on your next job interview with your minty fresh breath. Think of it, not only will you be getting gear, but a job as well. It boggles the mind! Buyers pay actual shipping, insurance, and whatever else they need to get it to them. Paypal and checks ok. Some wampum. No trinkets. For Sale 1 Long XCS Steadicam Plate with 15mm holes on front and back - $250 OBO I used this for a while on my rig and now it's yours. Because of stupidity on my part that I won't go into here there is a slight burring on one side of the plate (you can see it in the third pic). If you have a Sachtler rig you'll need to tighten down to get it to stay. Any other rig with a standard locking mechanism should be fine. If you get it and there is a problem I'll take it back and I'm throwing in an extra piece of gum on this one for my stupidity. Great plate. Will hold many cameras and has lots of holes for screws, fish hooks, dog whistles and whatever else you can think of. 1 Classic Pro recorder plate - $40 OBO Slides into the three screws on the back of the earlier PRO rigs (the ones with the chocolate bars). Can hold a recorder, a sandwich, or maybe even that sweet piece of gum you'll be getting when you buy this classic piece of gear. A must have for any early PRO model flyer. Having owned this myself I can assure you that more than once I've heard extras on set looking at my rig and saying "Wow, look at that early PRO auxiliary plate on his rig, I wish he'd sell that to me for $40 OBO." I kid you not. Throwing in the velcro for free. 1 PRO Chocolate Bar Battery Charger Connector Doohickey - $10 OBO Look at the pic. If you have these batts, you know what this is. What you see is what you get. Have a blast. Impress your friends. Charge some batteries! 1 PRO Dog Leg Rod - $35 OBO Worked with my old PRO plates. Will it work with yours? How should I know, but give it a whirl. Great for adding a motor, hanging out delicates to dry, or stirring cold coffee when not on your rig. Screws not included, gum is. * Gum is for personal use only. I cannot guarantee what flavor or brand it will be but am relatively sure it will not have been chewed and will not have any teeth marks that I know of. One piece of gum per item. Claims made my dentists about the effects of chewing gum are to be taken at the chewers own risk and I make no claims as to the validity of such claims. Gum cannot be returned and may be subject to additional tariffs and/or TSA regulations.

Some wampum. No trinkets. For Sale 1 BL3 low mode bracket, barely used - $75 OBO Yes, that's right, a BL3 low mode bracket and if memory serves, it works for the BL4 as well. So why question what you'll do when having to fly that vintage BL in lo-mode. Grab this classic red anodized bracket, throw that rig upside down, and wow the crowd with your minty fresh breath* and your classic low mode moves. A must have for any operator wanting to run with the big guys. 1 Classic JAR Optics w/Watec Video tap - $100 OBO You've bought that BL3 low mode bracket but can't see the image. What's a decent op gonna do? Well you're going to buy a piece of history my friend, that's what. This finely crafted John Russell eyepiece tap will work on BLs, Early SRs, Arri IIIs, and a host of other vintage cams. A staple in the day, this is a must have for any op wanting to instantly gain street cred even if they've just started. Can't you just hear it now? Newbie Steadicam OP - "Hey grab me the JAR Optics w/Watec Camera that's right next to my sweet red Low Mode bracket." Angry lifer 1st AC with a chip on his shoulder -" Wow, I thought this kid was new but by the looks of his gear he must really have been doing this for a while. I will have to get him on the next big job I do for sure and sit with him at lunch. And boy does his breath smell great!" 4 Pin XLR cable, RCA plug out but I will include a bnc adapter, and an internal lens which makes the entire frame visible (I believe I have additional lenses and will throw them in if I find them). Pro Monitor Monitor Shade - $25 OBO For the first Generation Pro monitor. Tired of squinting, grab a shade. Works great. Hi Tech velcro straps like they use in the military included. More to Come in The Next Post as This Won't Allow Me To Add more Pics!! * Gum is for personal use only. I cannot guarantee what flavor or brand it will be but am relatively sure it will not have been chewed and will not have any teeth marks that I know of. One piece of gum per item. 15. Pic say it all. Works like a pro and never had an issue. Just don't need it anymore and trying to pair down my gear. Comes with the piece of gum in the picture. Not sure what flavor it is but I assure you it's no ABC. Buyer pays shipping etc.
  16. Hmmm, I'll look into that. One thing I forgot to mention, the app needs to be able to print a copy that my carrier pigeon can handle. There are some things technology just can't beat.
  17. I have no idea if this is out there but I figured I'd check. I'm looking for an app that will handle equipment invoicing and allow me to mark them paid when they come in (I've found that) but will also allow me to notate hours worked and allow me to mark that when it's paid. I do all this through about three steps and was wondering if anyone has found something that works well. I'm part of the evil mac empire so it would have to be apple compliant. Anyone streamlines this process? I used to use ical and put the day in the computer and then when I was done drag it to the reminders column on the right and notate the hours. When i got paid I simply deleted the reminder. Worked great and so of course apple deleted that option. Thoughts?
  18. Haven't seen it yet but I'm psyched to. I got a call from Chris last year about coming into this crazy "oner" movie as his backup as he was getting completely fried. He asked me to come by to meet Chivo in case he needed a day off but said it was merely a possibility as he was starting to get into the zone of the long takes etc. I went in and watched and was thoroughly amazed at what Chris was doing. Phenomenal operating in tight spaces with amazing talent all around. Really a great experience. And the hats off to Gregor doesn't even begin to cover it. He was going old school and on top of that (as near as I can recall on the shots I saw), when Chivo was doing the same shot handheld (Chris would do it and then Chivo would so they had the option of styles) I believe he was wearing the backpack for the Arri M with the batts and all and had to move through doorways with zero clearance etc. Not only amazing focus pulling but so much more. It was a real circus to watch and I don't think there are many teams out there who could have pulled off that kind of ballet. An honor to watch them pull it off. I'm actually glad I didn't need to come in because quite frankly it looked way too hard.
