  1. Hi all, I just visited GPI yesterday and saw Bob's equipment lined up on the floor. I was informed it was there, sadly, because he had just passed away. I first met Bob, while shooting industrial video at the Daytona 500 (he was there filming "Days of Thunder"). He was very sweet and offered as much information as I could request of him. After moving to Los Angeles our paths crossed many times over the years. I will miss him. (the picture of his vest is exactly how it was when I arrived at GPI. It struck me as poetic.) My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones. To Mike McGowen, I am truely sorry to hear about your dad. I remember my time with Big Mike very fondly. I look forward to trading stories with you when you are in Los Angeles again. In the words of the late singer/song writer Warren Zevon, "Enjoy every Sandwich". Cheers, Bud Kremp
  2. Thanks all, all set. thanks. Bud

    Pro Arm

Hi All, Where to RENT a PRO Arm? Thanks, Bud Kremp
  5. Hi All, Wanted to talk about options (or lack thereof) of video directors finders w/ a modulas transmitter. Anybody got any ideas where to buy or rent one (w/pana mount) THAT WORKS!! Tried many (including a pana version) they all suck. So... wanted to see what you guys think. The hard part about them is big clumsy batts to power the vid tap and modulas. Looking for that perfect, PETITE, mobile vid finder that transmits. Thanks in advance, Bud Kremp

  13. Update (Sept. 27th 2008) - Upon further inspection of my PRO 1 and a conversation with Hugo, the Steadyrig batt hanger will require a Terry West-ish mod to a PRO 1 JB (per Hugo) to be compatible to batt hanger. I have spoken to The Great Pappert and he apologizes for any confusion. Bud Kremp
  14. Hi Hugo, budkremp@yahoo.com (very sorry, I sent an email to "admin@steadyrig.com" through yahoo, Wednesday, September 24, 2008 9:22 PM, sounds like it didnt go through) I do appreciate the hustle and hope this does not seriously inconvenience other operators (I never expected to jump ahead of the line). I look forward to hearing from you tomorrow. Come hell or high water I will either answer, or call you back immediately. To everyone involved in this thread, I sincerely appreciate your help! The best to all of you (especially that poor little bunny rabbit!), Bud Kremp
  15. Hi Rob, How about $850.00? Bud Kremp 818-402-6411
  16. Great tip guys. Molto Bene! Bud Kremp
  17. Dear Ramon, Your kind offer is much appreciated! I will let Hugo know, and then I will give you a call to work out any details. I will not go through with any deal unless I am positive that you will be taken care of!! Thanks again for your flexibility, and I look forward to extending the same kindness to should the need arise. Cheers, Bud Kremp 818-402-6411
  18. Hello Hugo, First, I just want to say thanks so much for your help! Next, the price is very reasonable, and a great option for me. However, I need it asap (I know, I know...."lack of planning on your part, does not constitute and emergency on my part...ha ha). I would need to know from you, a specific date you could send it to me, forms of payment you accept that would expedite the sale and delivery (fed ex next day). One other question I had was regarding the repair of any possible malfunction? As you are half way around the world from me, you can understand my concern. Also, I have the chocolate bar batt cage. From what I gather from Charles Papperts threads here, I can intall the hanger myself, true? As far as calling each other, my new iPhone (or AT&T plan) will not allow me to call you long distance (I dont have a land line). At this point, please know that I need one right now, and it's only a matter of me buying and receiving it. Again, I very much appreciate your attention and help. The best way for us to communicate at this point, is my email which is budkremp@yahoo.com. I check it ALL the time, so if you want to reach me, just send me a note, and I'll get right back to you! Cheers, Bud Kremp
  19. Holy cow mikey!! Thanks a ton! Above and beyond man! (but I would expect no less than that from such an awesome fellow operator! Much appreciated!) your input regarding the hytrons was also EXTREMELY helpful in my batt purchasing decision! Hope you are doing well (from the sound of things, you're doing GREAT!! Can't wait to sit down and visit with you again!) What can I say, cocoa bars ain't what they used to be, and with the threat of getting a genisis job looming (next one's pana 35mm, but ya never know) it's time to upgrade. My first thought was Innerspace, however, their website offered nothing in the way of batt cases. I assumed it would be a natural product to sell. So...I came here! All the best to you! Bud
  20. Hello All, I am currently in the process of up grading to a new Anton Bauer battery hanger on my PRO. I am looking for advice on what choices I have regarding cases to hold up to 9 Anton Bauer batts and 2 quad chargers. Would love to hear what you all have to say. Thanks in advance for your help. Bud Kremp
  21. Hi Charles, (Wow! Summoning works!!) Thanks for the quick response, and kind offer. I was tied up meeting a DP for a new project and was unable to take you up on your offer. However, tomorrow I would love to take advantage of it. Please advise a good time for me to call you and I'll try to squeeze it in between setups. Cheers, Bud Kremp
  22. hmmm.......that's disappointing (4 wks wait? starting a new show...kinda want it now...I've already established that I'm impatient..). Living in the valley, maybe GPI's is a better option? It's time to summon the Almighty Pappert on this one! "oh Chaaaaarrrles?!!!" Thanks Ramon! Bud
