Bud, I have shipped my Backstage Magliner along with my many cases many times via Fed Ex and never boxed it. Mostly arrived in one piece. Once the shelf, even though strapped to the cart arrived separately.

2 possibilities: Not familiar with that particular Steadicam but if you can, move the Gimbal towards the bottom. If not then add a weight plate under the camera to make the top heavier, or add any kind of weight to the top or remove weight from the bottom. All pretty obvious ideas to fix your issue.

Steadicam Stand, Wheels and Mounts question
Lawrence Karman replied to Joseph Hartzler's topic in Steadi-Newbies
Hi Joe, I have an American stand (steel with a riser) and have tried several different wheel combinations. The hard casters that you can get from American have worked out the best for me. They are the lightest and easiest to roll around. While not ideal for off road applications they still allow the stand to be carried easily. And are the best choice for stage or indoor shooting.I have had the 8" inflatables from Backstage and they are hard to move around and have a huge footprint. They also have some smaller inflatables which I got and never use either. I'm considering switching to a lightweight aluminum stand without wheels as the grips or AC's often just carry the rig. And a lot easier to ship. And I do have a baby pin on my cart for the dock for big moves without the vibration abuse of the stand. -

Contact SmallHD. Update/Reload the software? I've reloaded it to fix an issue with the toggle.

I use the 702 as a camera monitor and mine has zero delay.

This is the other half of a standard Arri camera dovetail plate I cut in half many years ago. Saves weight and comes in handy when they want you to mount a Ring-Light, Periscope, big zoom lens that needs a rod support bracket or any other crazy shit they ask to put on the rig that requires the the camera rod bracket. Also useful for a quick changeover to Steadicam mode from Studio mode. Enough said. $65. Located in Santa Monica, CA. Buyer to pay shipping and PayPal 3%

Same connector. Everything the same , just wider and heavier as you stated.

Ha! That looks the same as mine which I just changed out last month. -
Looks awesome as an on board operating monitor. Probably too light for most higher end cameras on a Steadicam rig but who knows. Not so sure why John is so negative about SmallHD. Just about every manufacturer these days updates their products at a high rate. I've got a Transvideo HD monitor I think I paid $7000 for many years ago that's worth less than what this monitor cost now. Anyway, not a big $ investment.
