Hi All, I confess I was the operator/steadicam operator on series 1 eps 1&2 of Downton Abbey, most of these two eps were my steadicam shots, including the shot through the house with all the activity of the servants etc, after ep 2 I was fired from the show for trying to make it look "Too cinematic"! such is the way of current UK TV....... Hey Ho, Xandy then took over and some of the stuff in those eps is his, as they were shot way out of sequence. Thanks for noticing, and interestingly the ep that won the Emmy for cinematography and other awards was No 1! Some Justice then. David Katznelson, DOP did a fantastic job on that first series, but sadly he suffered from the same lack of need for that cinematic look. Hope that clears up the questions. Jeremy

All Walter K converts, I am contemplating going with the back mounted masses, I've never met or spoken to any operators who have been dissapointed. Just wondered, having looked at the WK site can anyone give me any feedback as to whether the Trad Deluxe is substantilly different to the Universal, on the face of it seems like very little to choose between them, except price.
