hey everybody, doing a red epic job. i have a u2 top stage getting ready to buy the red power cable from tiffen. can anybody tell me without a doubt that this cable will also power the epic even though it is part listed as a Red power cable not a red epic power cable. just wanted to make sure nothing changed from the red to the red epic voltage wise or polarity. not my camera don't want to fry it. love to find out asap job is wednesday, ordered it today to ship. Matt Doll here in Wilmington NC The director for our first episode wants to do low mode shot with a low angle prism. I tested it last year and found it did not give me that dramatic of a visual in comparison to a 12mm lens scraping the ground. On top of that I have a U2 top stage which the prism was actually seeing. I have pulled the nose box before and I will have to if I do the shot. Luckily it is an Arri 416 it is manageable. Has anyone done this, or has no one done it because of what I found in my initial test (that the image is not that much different). Interesting side note- the director used to be a DP. I asked my DP if is he interested in doing the [prism]shot, and he said that the director has made up his mind, I need to figure it out. I am up for the challenge but --Please help. Hey everybody I've beem operating for about 2 years. My question is when supplying production companies with list of equipment and values to obtain a certificate of insurance are you giving them values that would reflect the cost of a new like kind and quality rig,accessories,remote focus unit etc.. or just the amount that you paid for your rig and extras. I have a demo Ultra Cine and a used Preston. Also I want to change my insurance carrier for my rig any suggestions. Has anyone out there had to file a claim for damage while shooting?
