Hi there I have had serious issues with strong winds throwing off the steadicam off balance. At times its difficult to hold off flags to cut off the wind due to the lights placed around the operator. How does one go about handling situations like this. I have heard of the windkiller kits, anything beyond this kit. please advice. Thanks Nitin

Hi there Well u have quite a few choices with the 435 ES camera. 1. U could invert the stdcam upside down. 2. Depending if its a std Mag u do get brackets to fix on the camera. Chk on the Jerry Holway site. 3. Have the cam put in a low mode cage. ( i have mostly flown my kit in the same) Hope this helps Cheers Nitin Rao India.

Hi there, I think the DP meant was the power surge, since the Red can draw upto 10amps. The bartech where as is also a 12volt run unit. Its possible the wires would have gone hot due to this. you can overcome this if u run the Red cam by its own supply (Red Brick batt). Hope this helps. cheers Nitin

Hi I am sure would have been really difficult to operate with that focal length. How did u manage to balance the kit. Would be nice to see a pic of the kit with the 300mm on. Cheers Nitin

Hi Erik I too have had a similar problem, its matter of just tightening the allen screw which is located just on the same moving part. Hope it solves ur problem. Since its a U2c steadicam u would have not had a remote so u could even reduce the space in between the part moving. have fun flying the kit. Cheers Nitin Rao

Hello I have just got myself a new Ultra2 system with the U2 monitor. I have had a strange problem today using the video signal of a Arricam LT camera i could not generate the frame lines/ Horizon level on the monitor, the video signal was fine. I had to reboot the system every time i disconnected the video of the arricam to regain the frame line. has anyone come across a problem like that is there a setting one has to change on the video assist of the camera. Hey Andrew Its nice to know of u designing one. where r u from, since we in india (Mumbai) are also in the process in doing so. The test hardware have been made and cosmetic finishing is on.
