  1. guys, I attended the last Classic (cant believe it has been 10mths!). It would be a truly enriching experience i assure you. Below is a video of my thoughts of the whole event. Good luck and make sure you are really FIT and get dressed up!
  2. Jason!! Hope u liked the shot i planted specially for the man from the dark side LOL.. Yes please come to Singapore soon!!!
  3. A short video of my journey to learn from the great masters. The course was truly worth it and i highly encourage anyone serious in Steadicam to attend.
  4. The Zephyr is awesome. I loaded the Zephyr with a steel weight and 5D2 on it. Felt like a big rig. Decided to ditch the Scout and go for the Zephyr.
  5. Yikes!! Sep?? That is a super long wait. I was hoping for Jun/Jul. Robin, any feel of the pricing? If its like USD10,000 I'll have to go for the Flyer L so I hope not to wait and get disappointed later on. Thanks.
  6. Oops.. I meant not more than 8k. I wonder if they will offer some kinda sales for the existing flyer LEs.
  7. Praying it does start higher than 8k! Could somebody get some videos of it? I have seen quite a bit of stuff on the TANGO but not the Zephyr yet.
  8. Yeah I totally agree that a HDMI port would be a great addition. A friend of mine at NAB said the Tango add on is as awesome as it can get. Looking forward to the prices...
  9. Great thanks. I had a look at the specs and it is indeed quite a Flyer LE replacement it seems. The camera load is similar at 20Ibs. The arms does look exactly like the Flyer arms in the brochure. The vest is supposed to be a new design. The million $ question now is the price..
  10. Zephyr Introducing the New Zephyr!! just got this off the Tiffen page. Just when I am decided to go for a Flyer this pops up. I'm looking to use the rig with Canon XF300 and DSLRs. I find my current Pilot a little too "light" to do whip pans (could be me). I tried the Flyer LE a couple of months back and it is awesome as it really feels like a different beast all together. A lot more stable with a large EX3 on it. Could anyone at NAB please give me your inputs if the Zephyr has the same "feel" of the Flyer LE. I hope it does and it seems like a great tool for me. Thanks!
  11. Hi Jens, that gets me excited. Is that a steadicam or a jib? The merlin is a tad too sensitive for DSLRs so if this new toy is a steadicam for DSLR I'll grab it. What does AR mean?
  12. Hi guys, I am considering to attend the SOA Workshop in May. What are the main differences between the 2 workshops besides the extra day of training for the Classic? I'm not sure if we get to use smaller rigs like the Flyer during the SOA training. The nice thing is the lead instructor is Jerry for both so I'm certain its going to be good. Of cse it would be great if Mr Garett could pop by. Just like to know what I could be missing. Thanks! Sean Singapore
  13. Thank u Matteo and Jerry!! Never expected to hear from Jerry himself! My drop time is 2.5sec. The EX1 is pretty light on the Pilot but I have loaded it to the max payload alr. Gimbal is 2" from the stage. The couple was a little taller than me so if I trim the arms to be higher (both arms tilting upwards) would it cause any instability? I will practice by getting closer and trimming the arms without zooming and try it out.
