  1. Deke! So good to see you on here. I have a Sachtler Vest ACT2. I love it. I have a long torso so all of the adjustability is fantastic. It has really good back support. The only drawback is that it's slightly heavier than the PRO vest. The pads are breathable and you can take them off to wash them. You are welcome to try mine anytime. I'll be prepping a commercial in a couple weeks so you are more than welcome to swing by and try it out with my rig. Happy New Year! Tim
  2. Hey Afton, You have any more of these boxes left? If so, I'll take one! Thanks, Tim
  3. Jens, Have you talked to Backstage? They don't have the TR-05 in stock but will probably make you one. I had one made a year and a half ago. It took like a month. Talk to Saul.
  4. Update to what the problem was?
  5. What's the size on that post screw. I know it's a 5/32 socket head but what's the length?
  6. Just operate as usual and keep level. If you go off level, it seems to stay off level for an eternity because of the slow motion.
  7. I love the lingering llama in frame. Nice work. No footsteps, great turns, a classic pull down the hallway. Well done. What was your rig setup?
  8. I took the workshop in Pennsylvania years ago. On our last day, the instructors were handing out our certificates, and making final announcements. Jay Kilroy simply said, "And don't be a dick on the forum. We are a family." Every time I log on and see people being dicks. I hear those words.
  9. That thin BNC, is it "jumper" length like 6ft then you connect a longer BNC to that? Where did you get that BNC made?
  10. Focus motor may have jumped on and off the gears? Horizon seems to hold so don't think the rig itself was bumped.
  11. Hey everyone, I got hired to do a few shots on a DSLR for this Thursday (July 19th), prepping on Wednesday. I am looking to rent either weight plates or a cage for the days. I am currently flying a PRO rig with a 3A Robert Luna arm. Please email me at timfabrizio@mac.com Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much. Tim P.S. Insurance certificate can be provided and I can pay upon return of the gear.
  12. Hi Haris, Some nice work on there, but a little bit of advice...I would cut that reel down to about 4 minutes maximum. Compile all of your best moves and make a nice smooth piece. No producer, director or DP would want to watch a 12 minute reel. Good luck! Tim
  13. I know this post is old and I'm sure you have your answer but I found this article describing the shot. Great stuff and great work hiding the step on/offs of two different rigs. http://www.icgmagazine.com/wordpress/2009/07/10/hitching-a-ride/
  14. Poor B-Camera operator got no love in the final product. Well done, Steadicam operator
  15. 5 years later and this thread is alive and well... I'll take one as well. Thanks a lot! Tim timfabrizio@mac.com
  16. More like playing the piano in a marching band... Now THAT is funny. Bravo. I wish I had thought of that.
  17. Hello fellow New York owner/operators, What insurance companies do you use to cover your gear? I am looking for a good policy with relatively decent rates. Thanks a lot! Tim
  18. I like how you kept horizon perfectly aligned with the lovely lady with horizontal black and white stripes!
  19. Looks like a Brazilian head room trim.
  20. I JUST saw this post and as I was reading it I was thinking, "He should have called Dennis." Then I scrolled down... and BAM there it was "Dennis Boni to the rescue". Dennis got me into this business and now I am a Steadicam operator. I live in NY now but lived in DC my whole life. glad it worked out! Tim
