  1. I know of him. He's had no formal training - no workshops. The KC Chiefs bought the rig and found this guy to operate it for them. He's not part of the forum or steadicam community as a whole. I'd rather not reveal his identity...
  2. This happened in Kansas City yesterday. Not good. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. Still wondering about Op's visibility, spotter's whereabouts , etc. http://www.kansascity.com/sports/article173839351.html This link has a clearer look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=po74Rgno6_k&ytbChannel=The%20World%20Gone%20Crazy

  7. yuh know, I've been on the forum a bunch of times since January 14th, but just saw this now! Little slow on the uptake, but can you really be shocked? I'm a Deadhead... Plus, I've been super busy. Still am... So, David...what's this all about 9 months late?
  8. Will, You should ABSOLUTELY send that reply under some phantom identity. I was feeling all dejected and left out, cuz I didn't get the spam! Then, Today I was browsing my spam folder before emptying it and, sure enough....there it was! So really...what is the object of this message? Would it be the Nigerian Inheritance scam where the guy sends you a check for double the amount of promised wages, and has you send send him back the difference and BAM...the check bounces after 2 weeks, Or is it simply to find out our addresses and raid our garages? I'm thinking the easiest place from which to compile all of our email addresses is the SOA website. Just curious, did anyone get the spam who is NOT an SOA member? Not a guild member? It's a shame, because we want people to find us to hire us, but not James Brown....
  9. I'm guessing you're concentrating on rentals in the NYC area/Northeastern USA?
  10. When's the party? Doah! Maybe we can pass around a forty of Crazy Horse or Old English. Also, I'll bring my private stash of Thunderbird and Boone's Farms' Strawberry Hill.
  11. Sydney, Dennis & Jess, Thanks for the tips. Looks like "back & forth" across the border (a few times a week) might become a reality for me, but not for a few months. That gives me time to check it out (customs and insurance)and drink many margaritas and Tecates. -Paul
  12. Thanks, Jess. I'll check with Customs for both directions for Tijuana where I'll be crossing. California might be different that Texas. I won't even start commuting until May, but it's already on my mind
