Thanks Erik for your nice post  ...
Yes, we almost crashed in the "dark girl version"...
The biggest problem for me was controlling the moves of those girls, especially the dark one, she was the real girl of the story (Giulia, the ex-girlfriend of the singer!), enough far from a real actress, but was so funny that idea to shoot a double version with her too, that we did it!
Not easy to convince someone like those girls (the blonde girl was just at the beginning of her carrer as model/actress) to "feel" (and "follow"!) the camera...Probably with some other take on more we could reach better resutls, at least because we got totally exhaust after so much long runs!
Unfortunately, I don't have any making off about that day, I just remember that an MTV Italy crew was shooting around us...But i have no hope to recover that report, especially because was made it 4 years ago.
But you're right about the fast pace, at least is almost the only thing that I still remember about that day...To be honest, together with the big bobs of the blond girl! ;)
I made another similar video, still some years ago, it was a steady shot edited in 4 takes...something like the Spice's video "Wanna be", but with almost no-budget, as clearly visible (!) -as usually unfortunately is, talking about music videos production here, in Italy....The director added some fx & graphic work to made it more interesting...
I only remember about it, that those guys (a boyband) were very precise to move inside the stand still frame during the final of the clip, it was the first and only take we shoot, at least about that part.
Best to you,
Andy
