  1. Hey guys, I can't believe I forgot to get this video put up over here. I did a number of videos for LANDMINE (company that owns DVXuser and REDuser) at NAB. While there, I got a chance to interview Garrett Brown about his latest invention, the "Tango". Go to to see the interview. The other videos, I shot on the Steadicam PILOT. This was also my first real steadicam job as it was a 9-5 thing all day. :P Yes, I know I am better behind the camera than in front. :D Enjoy! EDIT: The subject should be Garrett with 2 "T's"
  2. I'm looking forward to it! Where is everyone else staying? I'm staying at the Merchandise Mart's Holiday Inn...
  3. Make sure you reserve the hotel through NAB at http://www.nabshow.com/2010/hotel_travel/hotels.asp They have the lowest prices and each of the hotels listed include a complimentary shuttle to and from the Convention Center. Also...
  4. Is there usually a Steadicam party? This'll be my first NAB. Also, I just bought my first steadicam (PILOT) a couple weeks ago. :)
  5. I hate to be asking such a newbie question, but that's just what I am...a newbie. I am looking at getting a Flyer LE from BH and need to decide which power option I will go with. Does it really matter which power option I choose or does it depend on the camera I use with it? The battery powers only the monitor, while your camera uses it's standard batteries, correct? Which is the most popular battery solution? Thanks for shedding some light on the matter, and again I apologize for such a newbie question. ;) Thanks again!
  6. Even if you were just starting out, do you think it would be best to spend $2,000 for the LE?
  7. Looking to buy a used Flyer LE or SE (preferably an LE). Thanks!
  8. I have the option of either purchasing a used SE version for $5000 or an LE version brand new for $7,000. (unless someone is selling a used Flyer LE). Right now, it looks like both will cover the weight capacity I will need to fly. The main thing, I am just wondering if the new ISO-Elastic Arm is that much better. What are the main differences between the two? What would be the reason why you would get one over the other? Thanks!
