  1. I am selling my beloved Ultra vest. It was heavily used and after changing the plastic back shield twice, because it always broke at the shoulder part, due to the bending, I changed it to heavy leather. I made the back shield myself and it never let me down. It fits even better and nothing will ever brake again. The pads are in rough shape, but have some more years in them. Always had them cleaned after projekts. I throw in some spares, like those snowboard ratches, screws etc. The shoulder straps are both locked with a screw, so you have to stick your head through, between them, which works fine and they never come lose again. You can change it easily by taking the screw out on which side you prefer to enter the vest. Also included is a paded bag from Rock Steady Gear. Vest fits perfectly , arm can be stored in the middle of the vest. Protects everything quite well, though I wouldn´t use it for flying the gear around. The vest is in overall good working condition. The emergency exit mechanism is not there anymore, but I never trusted that system anywhere. So when you are working close to a swimming pool, have someone spotting you. I always imagined myself trying the peel of all that heavy velcro and fummbling around to get out, while that heavy camera drags you down... Better not to have a false sense of safety. All the other vests don´t have that kind of a system anyway. I had to change one of the tightening knobs. The replacement works quite fine. What can I say, it´s my favourit vest but had to change to an Exovest, because I had a Lipom grown at my back. The Ultra Vest would put some pressure on that spot on my back which caused a lot of trouble including surgery to get the thing out. It always grew back so I had to change. Doctors said the pressure is partly causing the growth. Tried the Backmount vest, same result, so I ended up with the Exovest. I don´t have the same feeling of controll with it as I have with the Ultra vest, but it works. Vest is located in Munich Germany. Local pick up or shipping in the European Union prefered but I also consider shipping overseas. I really don´t have a clue about shipping costs, but will find out when I know where it goes... Asking price is 2500,00 Euros Best Fabian
  2. I offer a Walter Klassen Back Mount Flex Vest. I am around 1,90 meters in height and my jeans size ist 36" waist, weight around 200 pounds. I hope that helps. Vest is in good shape, only the leather shoulder strap is a little scratched. I used the vest also in Easy Rig mode and the camera rubbing on the shoulder pad caused the scratches. Only cosmetic, nothing serious. The rest is near mint and all the accessories come with it.It Is the straight carbon arm. I am the first owner and I bought the vest around 4-5 years ago. I have an issue with my back and bought the vest, because I thought the back mount vest would leave out a certain spot on my back where no pressure should be applied because of an lipom growing there. Unfortunatly the vest also covers that part and I had to switch to a Exo Vest. This works fine and the back mount vest is just laying arount in the studio. It is to expensive to keep it as an Easy rig vest, so its up for sale. Local pick up un Munich Germany prefered, but I can also check for shipping quotes. Looking for around 4400 €, whatever that is in Dollars...or make me an offer. If you need any further infos, send me a mail. fase@gmx.de IMG_9742.HEIC IMG_9743.HEIC IMG_9744.HEIC IMG_9745.HEIC IMG_9746.HEIC IMG_9747.HEIC IMG_9748.HEIC IMG_9749.HEIC IMG_9750.HEIC

  4. Up for sale is an Antlers System, manufactured by Mathias Bieber, also known as Camjam. He is a steady op, who is getting more and more into making interesting parts and brackets for steadycam purposes... The Antlers are in good shape, but have seen some use. Just some minor scratches on the surface... You get three different post lengths, stackable brass weights and extendable arms. You connect the system via a Steadicam plate adapter. If you have any questions, just send me a PM. I paid 700€ for the stuff. Just make me a reasonable offer. Stuff is in Germany, but can be sent anywhere. 5. I am selling an almost complete Tiffen vest. It has parts of the Ultra 2 modell and parts of an older verion, I think it´s an Ultra one. I sell it as parts, because the dovetails to connect the shoulder parts to the breast shield, are missing. The former owner just screwed them together. I kept the vest as a donor vest, in case something breaks at my U2 vest. Check the pics, to see what you get. The pads are complete and are worth something ithemselfes. I am 1.90m tall and had some extensions plate made to use the vest as a emergency replacement. Without them I couldn´t get it long enough...I changed to an Exovest, so I don´t need the parts any more. For an U2 user it might make sense to have this back up. paid 500US for it, open for offers. Stuff is in Germany but I would send it anywhere. 0AABF07A-0F8C-445C-A527-3B010062B3C8.heic 0C3F363C-3F28-43CC-87C6-731FD0E8DE48.heic 29BE0432-9961-4C0D-9590-80CCC15E4201.heic 57847592-AE06-4D9C-BA39-E99714FB7E4C.heic 076674EF-E297-4587-BC6D-84F100495EE1.heic B41F76D5-FDF5-4BA1-948B-11A2F22BA628.heic C3960621-C0EF-4929-B075-62FDEE3D6391.heic 7934F389-9DC3-48B7-8385-98D2C1BFD4F6.heic 96273F49-9DB8-42F4-9C61-3ADBA7077E7F.heic
  6. Hey there, the title says it all. I am looking for an old steadicam arm as a back up arm. Doesn´t need to lift a full Steadicam Alexa Set Up. Is more for Gore Link action. I am not familiar with the weight capacity of the different spring colours, but I think something like 35 pounds lifting power should be enough. is that still in the range of a blue spring arm, or even a red spring? Whatever, when you have an old arm laying around, let me know. Best Fabian Roesler fase@gmx.de
  7. Hey Stefano, is the stuff still for sale? best regards Fabian Roesler fase@gmx.de
  8. Vielen Dank, werde mich melden. Grüße aus München Fabian
  9. Hey Guys, is there any european recell service out there? I don´t find any sign of something like Mr. Ritters business around here in Germany or even europe. I´d be happy to get some hints here. Thanks everybody. Fabian fase@gmx.de
  10. Up for sale is a XCS Dual Rod Monitor Mount and a Pro GPI Donkey Box 2 in good used condition. I switched to a cam jam Monitor support System, so I don´t need that one anymore. If you have a monitor with a 1/8" thread at the bottom, you could use it right away. The 1/4" spud is included. Rod length is around 35,5 cm in black anodized. New at XCS 1100,00 USD, looking for around 650,00. Or send me an offer. The Donkey Box was taken of a used sled that I purchased last year and was replaced by a Betz Tools Top stage. It is also in good used condition. I spend some hours cleaning it, so it is ready to go. The four mounting screws are included. They show some wear but you can still fix them properly. I really don´t know what to ask for the stage. If you are interested, send me a mail and we sort out a price. I saw that it is still on the Pro price list. There it is listed for 2500,00 USD. I don´t have photos of the donkey box right now. If you´d like to have some, let me know. Both items are located in Germany but can be sent anywhere. Europe is prefered. Thanks everybody. Fabian Roesler fase@gmx.de I edited the thread size of the spud screw. It is 1/4" and not 1/8". I am used to the metric system and got confused. Sorry guys.
  11. Up for sale is a used Jerry Hill Steadicam Docking Bracket. I bought it together with a used sled, but calling one of those already my own I am selling this. These items are bulletproof and there is no need for keeping this as a back up. The guy I bought it from, had a modification done. The pin that carries the arm while resting is longer and has a safty pin. The Pin diameter is around 13 mm. In case you want the initial design, I am pretty sure that it is possible to remove the extension. The bracket comes with one docking ring for Post diameter 1.477 "It fits the 2nd upper segment of a Ultra 2 Post. The ballancing Pins are for Tiffen Gimbals. A Pro Gimbal won´t fit . The Pins are removable and I am sure Jerry Hill can provide the right sized ballancing pins. The Bracket is in good, used shape and in full working order. Item is located in Munich Germany. For international shipping costs please send me a mail and I can figure out prices. I am looking for 500,00 USD The Item is also on ebay. Take care and all the best mail: fase@gmx.de
  12. Hey Folks, same here. The Betz crew is has been a close companion on my steadi path. When I started thinking about entering the steadi world Christian would invest hours of his time to talk to this new guy, who for sure wouldn't invest money in the next years. He let me practise with his gear for free, help me out with advice whenver needed. Now that I am a grown up in the Steadiworld I love it to have the Betz crew close by, always having an open ear for my troubles. Isabelle is very helpful and super fast in responding to my strange emails. And I think there is nothing that Alex can't do. He is the guy who would sit in the shop late just to fix my cables so I can fly my gear the next day. I love every tool I bought over the years from them, never had the feeling they would want to talk me into something. Service is a rare good in the service desert germany, but the Betz crew knows what it means to us, to have the feeling that there is someone you can rely on when you are in trouble. So thank you very much for making my steadi live a lot easier. Fabian
  13. Thanks to all taking their time to dig into this topic as profund as possible. I am still wrapping my mind around Larrys Gyro Set up. Is there any photo flying around the internet of this set up. I´d love to see the brackets he is using and in which height on the post they are installed and so on. Best Fabian

  15. 7.1 Power Management When using the BAT connector and one or more onboard battery adapters simultaneously, the camera power management ensures that the power source with the highest voltage level is used. When the voltage level of one power source drops below the level of the other, or a power source is disconnected from the camera, the power management automatically switches to the other power source, avoiding shutdown of the system. So as an example, one could use a 12 V onboard battery as backup for the main 24 V battery, or power the camera from the 24 V battery while on a tripod and use the 12 V battery for fast switching to handheld mode by just unplugging the power cable. When using two onboard battery adapters with batteries in parallel (one on top and one on the back), they are treated as one source by the camera. This allows combining small batteries with less load per item into one strong power source. hope this helps Fabian
  16. Hi there, i was working on a TV series for a day, some days ago. Today i met the AD of that team and he told me that they got bad news from the post house. Some of the alexa footage shot on my b-cam had serious picture failures. He told me that they had green vertical lines running through the whole picture. That lines started to occur during the day and could be seen on all the different monitors on set. Post house says it´s a chip problem, whatever that means... Do you guys have heard of any problem like this? I didn´t see any of that stuff he talked about on my steadicam monitor so i guess it didn´t happen while i was shooting with that camera. The camera was a brand new Alexa Plus. All the best Fabian
  17. Hi Chris, FGV Schmiedle is a nice rental house mostly doing commercials. Nice people and good equipment, well taken care of. Boris the boss is the guy to talk everything through with. Fabian P.S.: If you have trouble to get your stuff together, there are plenty more places to go, but i would start with Arri and Schmiedle.
  18. Hi there, i have just finished a 2 months feature with the alexa. We were shooting in Kiew and Berlin in the cold season and i must say the camera behaved very well. Updates are constantly released so every 2 weeks there is improvement in the handling. Alexa can record on the cards in 4:2:2 now. So no more cables. It can run 48 fps also on the cards. If i am not mistaken they released an update some days before activating the playback button. We didn´t install this one because it came with a complete new internal colour management and we only had some shooting days left. We didn´t want to change anything in the look during production. The cold was never an issue (also because of an update some weeks ago) minus 20 degrees centergrade was fine for the machine. We even smashed the camera on the ground, when the DOP was running hand held and didn´t see an obstacle. Even this hit didn´t cause any malfunction. Make sure to get the right accessories, like the low mode plate, this base plate adapter, and the p-tap adapter. I had the alexa on the steadicam with an on board batteries on the back, which is perfectly fine and far away from heavy. Our version had two batterie mounts, the second one on top of the camera. So if you like the camera to be a little heavier you can add a 2 nd batterie. There is a lot to say about the camera so if you have specific questions let me now. The support by ARRI is a dream, at least here in germany, because this is their baby now. The web support works great. You can download your prefered frame lines and copy them to the camera. Sounds difficult, but was really easy and done in 15 minutes. Picture quality is stunning and handling and ruggedness made working with this camera a dream. all the best Fabian
  19. You can also check Xinetix. www.xinetix.de/ They are a bunch of operators sharing rigs and also renting them. It´s all Pro stuff. Nice guys and the equipment is good. Betz is also a good option. Very good stuff there and great service. www.betz-tools.de
