Charger for Globalmediapro batteries
Thomas K. Jensen replied to Txema Zuriarrain's topic in Batteries/Power
Hi. I am using four GMP 160wh batts with my Steadicam. And I charge them with both Pro-X and citytek chargers. And at a Tradeshow, where I was showing my rig for the local dealer, we charged my GMP's on their IDX charger - No problems. -
Chinese Knock off steadicam's are starting to piss me off
Thomas K. Jensen replied to Adam Eden's topic in General Discussion
And I thought that Flexible was a bad thing when it's got something to do with Steadicam? Maybe I was wrong :-) -
I've had my G50 upgraded two months ago, and now I'm not seing my footsteps anymore. So for me the bearing upgrade, has made my work much easier. Would I have chosen a Pro arm and another rig, if I have known the different choices then? Maybe I would. But the Tiffen rig I own, works for me - and it has some great features that I like and use all the time. I have never tried to do any maintenance of the arm. I think this gear like a Tripod or a camera. If somethings break I send it in for repair. No big deal. Happy holidays

Cinetronics New Monitor mount and Gen2 Monitor
Thomas K. Jensen replied to Eric Fletcher S.O.C.'s topic in Monitors
This mount will not work. When I got my Gen I, i was looking for a solution, but the only one I found, was to get a bracket made for the Tiffen rods, as they are slightly larger than 16 mm. -
Hey Kurt. I had the same issue with my Clipper 3, and had to make my own.Mounting Cinetronic on Clipper But when I get my new Gen II Cinetronic, I'll get a yoke, that Curt from Artemis/Sachtler will make. That fit's the Clipper's post. Hope that helps? Thomas

Hello fellow Ops. I have promissed Chris to bring my monitor along. I'll be there saturday and sunday. Hopefully I can show it on one of the Sachtler rigs. Hope to see you there. Thomas

Mounting Cinetronic on Tiffen Clipper
Thomas K. Jensen replied to Thomas K. Jensen's topic in Monitors
Now I got the bracket made. I'm using the same bracket that came with the rig, but I made a new bar for the Cinetronic yoke. It only cost me $200 -

Mounting Cinetronic on Tiffen Clipper

Thanks Afton, but none of them seems to make anything for the clipper3's lower post diameter. So I will be making my own next week. Any idea how to make this smartes Thomas -
Mounting Cinetronic on Tiffen Clipper
Thomas K. Jensen replied to Thomas K. Jensen's topic in Monitors
I got an email from Chris from Cinetronic. And they have no brackets to mount the monitor to my Clipper 312.And I don't want to drill holes in the original bracket, so now I will have my machinist make a new bracket, that goes on to the monitor rods. I'll post some pictures, when it's finished. -
I just received my new Cinetronic 6.5"But I can't fix the monitor to the rods that the standard Tiffen monitor comes with.Does any of you Cinetronic owners have your monitor monted on a Clipper? Is there a standard mount or do I need to make something myself? Thomas

I'm having a hard time deciding if I should go with the 7" widescreen or the 6,5" - 4:3?What did you go with, and what's the pros and cons i your opinion? Thanks

You can let Tiffen UK handle it the import/export for you.

New Fawcett/Tiffen exoskeleton vest
Thomas K. Jensen replied to Fabrizio Sciarra SOC ACO's topic in Vests
Don't judge it from how it looks. If it does a better job than other vests on the market, and you get better support to your back, then I would be willing to pay more than a Pro Vest -
