  2. Hello Guys, just for invite you at next BVE expò in London, visite Easysteady and you can test new Pro Series at IDX stand number G 26. Cheers, Riccardo.
  3. Hi everybody, in Cinek you could test brand new EASYSTEADY PRO SERIES ARM. http://www.easysteady.com/easysteady/Arm_pro_2.html The cost will be about 10.000€, with 6 cannisters, 4 soft and 2 hard. You can bring up to 28kg with standard kit., or up to 34kg with 2 more hard cannisters. It is amazing, try for believe. Absolutely no friction and only 1,5kg for boom up and down (boom is 70cm - the longhest). In Italy many steady operators sold their arm for easysteady new brand, one of this man is a member of this forum, he bought a G50 and now he want sold it for easysteady new pro series arm. It can work very well also with lightweight sled configuration like DSLR cam or small camcorder. Same quality of PRO at half price!!! Find easteady at Cinec expò or contact me. For my experience PRO is the best, i don't like G70 because there is a lot of friction in the arm system, G70 doesn't work well in slow movement like micro-walk... in this case you will see the walk in shoot images, only good way is the quite light weight!! Spring Arm is hold "isoelastic" style, it is hard for boom up and down... Sachtler is the same, Sachtler has very good construction quality, in Spring arm there is some jokes in the meccanical part. PRO is perfect, work perfectly in all condition, no friction, smooth well in fast both slow movements and it can work well in light weight sled config.. but it is really expensive. After easyteady test you give us all impressions, good or no good, or what you will like or not, for us is very important your feedback. Cheers, Riccardo.
  4. I use Canon DC coupler and IDX v.plates SD-1E with a battery IDX 7s for help me to balance well on steady. With this configuration a take perfect dynamic balancing and i can use also in shoulder mount. for info www.easysteady.com Look attachement
  5. I used 5D and 7D, and 5D has more DOF, sensor of 5D is 2 times biggest the 7D. 5D is better for wideangle lenses with 2.8f stop, you can work in 24mm with 2.8f and changing focus, with 7D lenses are 1.8x and or will don't have same wideangle or you will have no same F stop beacuse lenses for wideangle in 1.8x start from 3.5f, with a lot of problem in lensflare or similar also. I prefer 5D sensor end lenses but 7D for tricks video. This my opinion. But this out of topic. Regarding HDMI or SD i wrote my experience: I use same monitor (marshall 8.4 inch HDSDI sunbright) for steady and for tripod application. In steady mode i use SD signal into composite monitor, and during tripod i use HDMI out from 5D and i enter into monitor in DVI converted from HDMI cable (wich small chip cable converter, about 3,00€). The video quality is better in DVI then SD, there a big difference. In DVI i can take good focus without focus assist of camera, in SD i need alway to use the focus assist. Obviously when i work with focus puller assistant there is no same problem. Tomorrow i will check new FOCUS products. Cheers.
  6. Decimator 2 work in the opposite way, from HDSDI to HDMI. I tried AJA with my 5D but during Rec mode doesn't work. I think blackmagic work well but with some delay for switch. Datavideo has a very good quality out during 1080i. Next week i will test a convergent design, after i will post a report for you. 7D work better with HDMI out, but DOF of 5D is amazing. 5D composite video out is absolutely no good for focus controll and operating well, also using a big good monitor like marshall 8,4'' HDSDI sunbright monitor. I am a steady factory builder, in our steadycam there is HDSDI 3G video inside, I don't want rebuild cable with HDMI cable only for 5D user. Looks news X_plates DSLR, also for mount directly into easysteady steadycam or for shoulder mount, do you like it?? for me is important your opinion. http://www.easysteady.com/easysteady/Xcess_dslr.html Thank you and cheers everybody, Riccardo.
  7. Hi, i have a problem with HDMI converting to SDI/HDSDI for canon 5DmarkII. I am easysteady users and developer and i need HDMI to SDI/HDSDI converter for use canon5DmII on easyteady steadycam with HDSDI video cable into sled. I tried Datavideo & Aja but during REC mode, wich 5D video signal out is in 486i, they doesn't work. Somebody have a solution? Somebody have tried Convergent Design converter or Blackmagic on canon 5DmarkII? Or you have other good produtcs info? Canon 5DmII during preview & playback has 1080 @ 60i video out (on HDMI) and during REC mode video out is in 486i (on HDMI) So seek, it always change format, and i need a fast converter for steady use. Thank you in advance for your help. Riccardo. http://www.easysteady.com/easysteady/homepage_2.html
