  1. @Steve thanks. interesting. but i think im more interested in a small piece of kit that i may add on / wire up into the rig instead. Not sure if one like this would even exist unless i make it myself. @Mark thanks. i've got the little Pilot used with an EX3 and a Pro-X Wireless HD-SDI Transmitter to video village for live events... the rig is pretty much maxed out, LOL. I try to keep my signal live at all times in-case i unexpectedly need to run out and capture something...
  2. is there such a device where you can continue to keep your Rig powered when docked for an extended period of time, during lunch hour, coffee breaks, etc. so I could dock and plug my rig into a standard 12VDC power supply, and walk away for a bit without losing sync to my wireless transmitter, or not having to powering down the camera, or pull the battery out, etc. especially for single battery rigs... (i presume with the big rigs you can easily hot swap batteries since they use more than 1 battery.)
  3. I've been trying to maximize and upgrade this little rig as much as possible. has anyone had any success with making their gimbal tool-less? perhaps swapping out the allen bolt with a wing bolt or kip of some sort...
  4. Hmmm... i understand however that the IDX Camwave 5HD can also multi-cast to more than 1 receiver... so perhaps for a live event you can position 1 HD-SDI receiver up in the lighting rig, another 1 back at FOH, and a third receiver halfway down or something. That way its always withing range of a receiver. I believe its range is about 150'. I'll have to find out which supplier has these here in Toronto, Canada so i can get it brought into the shop for some testing. (the $50K solution is probably a little too steep)
  5. Hello I'm looking to tailor a system using Sony XDCAM EX3's, a Flyer LE and possibly an IDX CW-5HD. I'm doing live events and would be transmitting for Record and IMAG. I haven't seen many discussions here on the forum regarding wireless.. please help! Thanks! JB
