  1. Have this oner I did recently. Hardest part was the stairs and the kitchen. Coming down the stairs they were dimming the lights to the song so I was very focused on my feet and feeling the framing. The kitchen section was extremely tight with maybe an inch to spare even with the monitor and batteries crammed all the way in. Don't ask me why they are all walking backwards again... I always suggest flipping around them and leading to no avail.
  2. Get in touch if you still need a phantom flex. Thanks, Bryant 805-708-2156
  3. password: steadicam This one is unreleased from my recorder so it hasn't been colored yet. The DP asked me to make nice slow moves and find interesting frames to pause on. I went into the location with a viewfinder and picked out a few spots and we blocked the actor accordingly. We did 17 takes and I chose to only take one break(it was a fairly light epic package.) This is take 10 I believe, I don't know which one they picked. Out of the 17 takes there were only one or two bumps for me, the actor was having a little but of trouble getting through the whole thing. He messed up on this one but saved it quite well. I like it because I was very involved with the blocking and I feel like the energy feels right.
  4. The last film I worked on the director would call action before the camera was even up.... So having them wait for a set seemed out of the question.
  5. At 5000 frames per second you could see the way your hair burns off your fingers as you launch flames with wd-40....
  6. I have an extra one I can sell you. If you interested, let me know. Thanks, Bryant
  7. Hey There, I'm on a quick trip to Munich until August 2nd doing some stuff with dedo weigert. If anyone in town wants to get together and grab a beer, let me know. Thanks, Bryant
  8. Not even on the market and that's the 2nd time I've heard about ops losing jobs to it. Interesting times
  9. The last time this happened to me it was because the ac had zip tied the micro force and it was wiggling around while doing the balance so it was different every time until I noticed and then switched it to velcro. I know it seems obvious but it wasn't to me at first since I wasn't there for the first couple days of the shoot.
  10. Anybody have one they are selling? Thanks, Bryant
  11. Finally a real long take from this thing. Lock offs not so hot when just hand holding the thing. Still a cool device.
  12. This has to be the greatest troll in a LONG LONG time. Check out his item.... It isn't a troll. I'm probably going to lower the price too. Also, I'm only selling it to people in southern California. Why would you think it's a troll? This is what the OP is looking for. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.xcsinc.com/images/TB6a.JPG&imgrefurl=http://www.xcsinc.com/ultimate/ult_compnts_TB6.html&h=200&w=225&sz=9&tbnid=VzKfePIKKSgSaM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=101&zoom=1&usg=__IBTSnDZU-5UkVVYC-I0mnU-lsEI=&docid=SwvadaB_HjMuMM&sa=X&ei=lpCIUf22A8Wn4AOYp4HIAQ&ved=0CEUQ9QEwAg&dur=235
  13. I downconvert and run black and white on my Hd monitor.... Why? I get the level from my ultra 2 and the director never looks over my shoulder. Though I do always send an HD signal to the directors monitor. Hah. This will probably change if I can get a HD digital level, but I don't think that will happen until I shell out 6200 for the cinetronic 2 + level. I will stick with my boland for now.
  14. All they needed was a techno.
  15. The main trick is getting time to work and practice with it. Just like with the steadicam but instead of years it will take days to get decent and months to get phenomenal. This video reminds me of garret browns early tests with the steadicam. Not perfect but still quite incredible. I see this making big changes in the way we move the camera. It does have its limitations but so does any system. The main thing I see with it is you could theoretically mount it anyway you want and have a stabilized hot head for car mounts, cranes, cable cams and other sorts of rigs. You don't just have to hold it in your hand. All for $15k. Any hollywood movie currently shooting on an epic cine package could utilize this system for specific shots. Yes they will have to remove all the accessories to get it to the weight limit but thats a small price to pay if you can work around it for that shot. This is coming from a guy who invested $90,000 in a steadicam system just over a year ago. I don't see my big rig going anywhere soon, but I definitely want to add the movi to my kit. And I am pretty sure I will. Just as a side note. There were some things I didn't love in the video. Very apparent side to side mechanical wobble especially in quick shots. I don't really understand single operator mode and I keep imagining the gimbal messing with my frame to try and keep it stable. Just can't know whether or not this something I want until I get my hands on it.
