  1. It is thinner than the betz tools plate. So the camera collides with the release lever on the topstage.
  2. It is all about viewing the monitor and how much adjustment and rebalance is neede for that. There is a video on my cam-jam website for the Quattro monitor bracket, that shows how fast lowmode can be done in seconds. http://www.cam-jam.de/qma.html scroll down a bit Sometimes when i think a lower perspective could be nice, I just flip the rig , push my monitor in place and show the dirctor and DoP the new shot. Often i hear yes that is nice, but we don´t have the time to change to lowmode. My answer is "lowmode is ready to shoot". Then adjusting the droptime, while everyone else is getting ready :-)
  3. My cam-jam.de Alexa / ENG bracket is designed for that. It mounts the Alexa and most ENG cameras to all your existing steadicam dovetailplates. It also works with the Arri Amira! It locks down the hook in the back. This is important to avoid vibrations. The spacing of the 3/8-16 threads is the arri standard. So all dovetailplates that fit to arri film cameras, fit to this bracket! http://cam-jam.de check the website for price.

  5. the 6 pin lemo on the epic is no stock item at lemo. It is a special design for red. For that reason it costs almost triple the price of a regular lemo in that size. Thanks red.
  6. My cam-jam.de yoke and also the Quattro monitor arm will work with this monitor. http://cam-jam.de Has nice friction control mechanics at the tilt axis of the monitor. The yoke is adjustable to any angle. some user comments: http://steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=19002
  7. Joe, my yoke from cam-jam.de http://cam-jam.de does fit the Pro compatible spud and many different monitors. Or the Quattro system, that fits directly to the Pro centerpost. Both have an adjustable angle of the yoke AND friction control mechanics at the tilt axis of the monitor. BTW my yoke is available since mid 2011. Interesting to see how the design made its way to another manufacturer. some operator comments: http://steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=19002
  8. It comes with the Alexa, when you buy the high speed license.
  9. the yoke and the quattro monitor arm system from cam-jam does fit this monitor http://cam-jam.de
  10. a BPA-1 won´t work. The mounting holes are offset to the side and it rises the camera, so the hook in the back won´t have contact to your extra long dovetail plate. That is why all these alexa plates are coming up. The cam-jam bracket can be screwed on any dovetail plate that already fits to your sled. And it also works with ENG cameras. Questions are usually answered within a day, assumed there is no typo in your contact information ;) http://www.cam-jam.de/alexa.html http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=17820&hl=
  11. Colin, you could use the yoke from http://cam-jam.de I have a wider version for Transvideo 8". This should give enough space for the hirose connector on the side.
  12. The Alexa bracket from http://cam-jam.de also works with ENG style cameras. Of course with your own dovetailplate, that fits well to your topstage. Some comments of happy users: http://www.steadicamforum.com/index.php?showtopic=17820&hl=
  13. I have a used 1,5" gimbal for sale. Would fit nicely with this rig. toolsfree. in very good shape. steadicamera@gmx.de
  14. http://cam-jam.de The "yoke only" uses your existing monitor arm. The Quattro Monitor Arm is all you need between centerpost and monitor.
  15. would love to see a video of the level display working on the screen
