Here a couple of links that show the Trinity in action: http://www.downvids.net/ibc-2015-artemis-trinity-671604.html https://www.cinema5d.com/the-ultimate-stabilizer-sachtler-trinity-a-gimbalsteadicam-combo/ TCS is located at 599 11th Ave., Ground Floor New York, NY 10036.
  3. Hi all, I am new to the forums and keen to hear feedback from steadicam operators all over on something I produced this summer. I am a beta/product tester for Vitec Videocom and as part of a Kickstarter project I have launched I was lucky enough to have Curt Schaller operate the prototype SMX 20 'Artemis Trinity' on my pitch film. It has been getting some good and bad feedback, all of which I understand, but I wanted to hear from actual operators in the industry. As a DoP I have my issues with the end product that we created but I think it's still a really decent effort given the ambitious one-shot nature of it. The Artemis Trinity has actually now been adapted to iron out the imperfections that are visible on my pitch film, but I'd love to know what others think of the prototype's efforts. Any and all feedback is great, and I will actually pass it on to Sachtler. Please check out the pitch film here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/paulcook/magpie Thank you for your time.

  5. Curt Schaller will be in NYC June 11, 12 and 13th He has a very interesting and new Artemis Stabilizer system with him, something very new and very different. This was shown at CineGear also. The Gear will be at TCS Rental from on June 12 for testing. Please let us know if you are able to come and play around with the gear. He will also be there Friday, June 13th. Curt would like to have dinner with anyone who is available. Is June 11 or 12 better? And what would be a good place to meet up? Please let Curt know if you will come to TCS and your availability for dinner. Curt Schaller artemis_info@me.com curt.schaller@vitecgroup.com Mobile: +49 171 62 38 240 Thank you. Paul D

  9. I am selling my gently used(18mos of work) Sachtler Artemis Carbon Spring Arm Please contact for pricing. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Spring Arm ACT2 Carbon / 26 kg (57.3 lbs) Replacing the aluminum “bones” of the ACT 2 spring arm with the ultra light, rigid and torsion-free carbon fiber “bones” caused lowers the weight of the arm itself by additional weight reduction of another 500 gr. / 1.10 lbs. The ultra lightweight design enables high-speed operating and longer-lasting takes. The ACT 2 carbon upgrade offers the same technical features as the ACT 2 aluminum spring arm. Carbon is used more and more often in modern aircraft construction, and in the field of racing car construction the use of carbon has been the standard since many years. But our main reason was to further cut down on weight. The carbon version of the spring arm weighs another 500 grams (1.1 lbs) less than the aluminum version. Features: Sachtler ’s new artemis ACT 2 includes a full range of design innovations • Light, torsion-free construction • 3 exchangeable spring sets for loads from 11 to 26 kg / 22.6 to 53.3 lbs. • Extra-easy spring pre-tensioning mechanism • Flip-over mechanism for vest connection (mating block) Compatibility with all vests using the American standard industry connector (socket block) and gimbals with 5/8“ arm post • Adjustable arm post friction • Arm posts available in three lengths (6“, 10“ and 12“) • All adjustments handled with a 4 mm 5/32“ hex key Based on the special experiences of our suppliers, we are able to produce carbon parts in series now. New production methods provide high reliability and safety for the products and replace manual lamination that is a quite unreliable production method. The aluminum arm is already an unbelievably quick and agile arm, but the carbon version is even better. Operators who shoot many sport shows or must walk fast or run while shooting for other reasons will appreciate the arm’s light weight and the fact that it stays in steady position during fast movements.
