  1. Hi, I'd like to hear people's thoughts and experiences working with a Master (Broadcast) sled, and if you guys think it's 'still got it' compared to modern sleds? I'm still looking at upgrade options and have been considering a used Archer2 with G50x arm, but a Master with upgraded G70 is available for a similar price (both with LX vests). The sled has been upgraded with HD-SDI already so should be ready to fly modern cameras. I'm just a little concerned about the apparent lack of flexibility of the monitor and battery mounts and the short post? The G70 arm would allow me to upgrade to a modern 'big rig' sled in the future but just concerned that the old sled design may have some compromises compared to a modern one while I'm working with it? I've not yet had a look and test of either of them but doing some background research at the moment ;) Cheers guys will get there in the end! rups

  3. So its been good time now, and im ready to move up to the big rigs. Im flying loaded Alexa, EPIC, 45lb+ set ups weekly, but its a cheap knock off and is not going to cut it any longer. It's time to move up. What would anyone recommend for my first professional sled (with $$$ of course being the #1 factor here). Looking for something with dual AB mounts, 24v, solid LEMO taps for my Bartech and accessories. I'm looking to get a master series arm, and thereby also looking at the master sled (good pricing) but I'm worried it's not modular enough for future upgrades. Or would it be more beneficial to just get one and sell it later one down the road? Thank you.
  4. Hi all, Reluctantly I am letting go of my wonderful Cinema Products Master Steadicam Greenscreen 6" Monitor. Apart from being one of the brightest, highest contrast, sharpest and most easily sunlight viewable monitors ever made, the unit being a CRT phosphor screen is relatively heavy on its own, which has proved extremely useful when you need to add extra weight to the bottom of the rig. It works fine, as seen in the pictures, and comes with a universal mounting plate, illuminated level, and XLR / BNC to Lemo power / video cable. It has controls for vertical height, brightness and contrast, and is so bright I have had to use a hood with it indoors just to avoid it illuminating the talent's face! The monitor is located Wiltshire UK. Very sad to see it go, but needs must. Make me a (sensible) offer! This is NOT an accurate representation of the quality of the picture, which is excellent, but to give you an idea of how bright the monitor is in compared to normal indoor lighting.

  10. Hello, Just got my first flight with my Steadicam Master, but it ended with a problem: The upper weight adjustment knob seems to be stuck, cant find "sweet spot" to easily roll it to adjust weight. The lower one (closer to hip) works fine and i find "sweet spot" right away. Does anyone have had this kind of problem and has a solution for it? Heres a picture of it if it helps!
  11. Hi again, Another missing piece to my puzzle. I am looking for a Vest, preferrably of the Ultra or Master variety. I will consider other offers too. Of course I'd love to stumble upon an used PRO vest, but those are never on sale when I'm buying. Thanks and Happy New Year! Mike
