  1. My Preston FIZII and MDR2 failed on a recent job the 3rd day in. I found out that Preston no longer will service these units. I have only had it a few years, as I bought it used. I was fortunate enough to be contacted by Marc Alfonso from PLC solutions. Marc offered to look at it. The unit has been repaired. Marc called me several times for updates on the repair. Once he found out Preston wasn't servicing these units he vowed to stock up on the parts to repair these units. If anyone needs repairs or service I highly recommend sending it to PLC. They have radio testing facilities, parts and the experience for expert repairs. The final price was very fair. I am very relieved, since the option Preston had offered was about $10K. Cheers!
