I'm selling a Daniel Sauvé Design back-mounted vest. Very universal, will accommodate many sizes thanks to a large assortment of extra padding, along with an air bladder. I'm 1m80 tall and I weigh 83 kg, but this vest has never failed to fit other people in many workshops and trainings. I routinely use it both in goofy and regular and the carbon arm swaps in a jiffy. Very minor cosmetic signs of use I provide the original large DSD soft case, along with leather soft bags for the carbon arm and the back plate. Extra screws, latches and spare parts included. Hi All, You know when sometimes things happen, and you didn't plan for them to happen? That's what happened. So now, I'm selling my X45/EFP rig. Clearing some stuff : This vest has been collecting dust for the last 3 years, I just went back to my front mounted vest . Everything is in excellent condition. I would rate the cosmetics a 7/10. Couple of scratches from normal use, no abuse here. All pads linings are clean ( just washed them today) Vest will fit a 33/36 waist, I'm 5'11. You have also the extension to get a couple more inches at the waist. Comes in the soft transport bag from Klassen (not pictured) Only thing missing is the air pump. 25$ from Klassen . I use an Ultra 2 Vest, and it is new (purchased from Tiffen in early 2014). I've been using it almost 5 days a week now for the past 6 months. Recently, it has been making a little more noise than normal when under load. I've looked through the Vest portion of the forum as well as a few search variations. Usually, the noise is along the lines of a squeak, vibrating plastic on metal or metal on metal. I hear it most often when the rig is away from my body or when booming. I have tried to pin point the noise to no avail. It sounds like it is coming from the socket block or center spar. I usually clean the vest once a month by completely dissasembling it and going in all the nooks and cranies with a tooth brush or cotton swab to remove and dust or debry that might settle in there. I also spray a little Bar Keeper's Friend on a paper towel and rub down any spots that are hard to remove. Before reassembly it gets a little bit of grease in the parts that move the most. Alas, this most recent go had very little affect. I also went through and completely tighten it down. Every screw I could find was twisted into place. I do find this vest to have screws come loose more than other vests that I have used. Any thoughts on the noise? Or a way to keep the screws from undoing themselves (a little thread lock or clear nail polish)?

For Sale my original Master Series Steadicam Vest. Yes, it's old. Yes, it needs TLC But, if your just starting out and need a good vest, and don't mind putting some work into things, this is a good choice. It needs a socket block and some creative work on the webbing. Years ago I replaced the leather with plastic and webbing to make it lighter and quieter. Hey Guys, I bought this vest because I thought I would be making a career switch. I bought the vest from Robin Smith from Canada paid around 4,000 and 200 to get it into the US. I used this vest for the week long steadicam class and that's all. I really love steadicam, but it is not for me at this time. It does have the drop down arm for goofy operators which is limiting for regular guys because it can only be mounted goofy. The drop down arm enables your low mode to be even lower. I spoke with Jennifer Platz from Klassen about switching to a straight arm and for me she offered return of this arm and a new straight for the fee of 700$ I didn't go for this because I am goofy and I don't really need it. I can't guarantee Klassen would offer the same price or deal, but that is what I was offered. Some info from WK: The general rule of thumb for our harnesses is that operators can share vests if they’re within 2 inches and 15lbs of each other. The further away you get from that the more likely it’s not a good fit. Robin is 6’1 and 185lbs. The flex is much lighter than a regular WK vest. It is impressive if you are used to a regular WK. Robin said he only used it for 24 days and ended up being happier front mounted. Everyone has their prefs. Hey Everyone, I'm looking to Sell or Trade my Tiffen Ultra 2 vest. It's seen a good bit of use. It works Perfectly but cosmetically is a little rough. I do love this FM vest, but I'm selling it because I recently purchased a Walter Klassen Flex vest, and it suits my needs better. One issue would be a small piece of the velcro on the left shoulder strap under the shoulder latch that holds the padding on has become frayed over time, it doesn't effect the function of the padding at all however as it's only a small portion of the velcro, and would be a super easy fix. I never bothered as it didn't effect the padding and wasn't enough to cause it to move. I've never had any issues with the socket block, works perfectly. The vest is super comfortable, and can be modified to fit many body sizes. I'm looking to either sell the vest or would like to trade for, or put towards the sale of an HD monitor suitable for steadicam. Maybe you have a backup monitor you're looking to get rid of, or are making the jump to a newer model and are looking to part with an older model. Let me know if this interests you. I'm also willing to work into the deal a TIffen Black Hard Shell case w/ wheels that I used for the vest and arm. The case is in excellent shape and has a dense foam liner inside, with 4 solid case fasteners and lock holes on the outside. Excellent for travel. The exterior moulded shell says Steadicam as part of the casings mold. I also have an extra strap buckle and receiver for the vest that I'll throw in. Currently the vest is in my gear lockup, I'll be there on Tuesday and can take some photos if there's interest. PM if interested!! Thanks for looking. - Ian -
