  1. Looking for an used Steadicam Aero 30 or Zephyr Sled / V-Mount + docking bracket and hard mount in Germany. please message me Thanks
  2. I am looking for the following: A used Zephyr rig Up to 3-years-old Utilizes a V-mount adapter In the U.S. Please message me. Thank you.
  3. Hello folks, I am going to be flying a Sony Venice for a project coming up and I was wondering if anyone has ever flown that camera and if there is anything I should be aware of? As far as I know it will be with cinema glass, mb, ff, and that's about it. I will be using a Zephyr, any concerns about the payload? Thanks in advance.
  4. Hey folks, I've never been able to achieve proper dynamic balance with my sled before (Zephyr). I've operated a fellow op's rig (Shadow) and achieved DB in less about 3-4minutes. So as far as I can tell it might be a problem with my kit. Does my gimbal need to be centred? If so, does anyone have instructions on how to do this? I've noticed that my Zephyr gimbal has some play in it and wondering if this is a culprit... 1. As I shift the yoke side to side I can feel there is about 1mm of play there. 2. As I push the handle in to out there is about 2mm of play here. Is this normal gimbal behaviour? See videos attached. _A.mp4 _B.mp4
  5. I would like to buy a full Zephyr steadicam kit ! Please feel free to contact me ! Simon
  6. Hi people, Just a quick question. The Zephyr says it can hold a max payload weight of 23Ibs (10.4 kg). My question is, does this weight include the weight of the sled its self or is this only the additional camera and batteries that you add to it. Just want to make sure I don't over weight my rig. Thanks for any help.
  7. Hello, We are close to buying our first Steadicam for your shop. Going to be a Zephyr and mostly flying a C300 with Canon CN E Prime Lenses but may use an Alexa Mini too. The consensus seems to be Gold Mount batteries over V-Mount. What type of Gold Mount battery is the best for battery life? Want to make sure we get efficient batteries but at the same time not batteries that weigh a ton either. Also curious about the various wireless follow focus and teradek systems. Seems to be quite a broad price range? I know some operators like to make sure their kit is equipped with a prompter and top light if necessary too. I'm a little concerned about the weight but ultimately I think we can get it under with Zephyr even with all this stuff. More concerned about getting quality accessories that are actually necessities. Pricing also seems to range for some of these systems too so curious about that too. I appreciate any feedback on accessories especially batteries and wireless follow focus systems. Thank you
  8. Our shop is looking to get our first steadicam and based on our needs I think we are looking at the Aero 30 or Zephyr. We have three C300 Mark II Canons plus an Alexa Mini so relatively light camera packages. We have a series of Canon Prime lenses so we don't have a lens over three pounds. Looking to buy new and wondering if the Zephyr is worth the extra $5k? From reading other material on here it does appear the Zephyr is a better made product. However, it appears the Zephyr can only hold three more pounds than the Aero 30 holding up to 23 lbs as opposed to 20 lbs. We need a rig that 4-5 people on our staff will potentially use that can be a one-size fits all for beginners but at the same time be a quality product. The Aero 30 seems attractive because it can take a Canon Battery mount. Is the extra weight capability of the Zephyr a moot point considering the different types of batteries the two rigs could take? Based on our camera and lens package plus the number of people who could potentially use the rig, I'm wondering what Steadicam is best for us? I'd appreciate any information regarding the differences between the Aero 30 and the Zephyr. Thank you very much!

  11. Hey all, I've been operating for almost 8 months now and this is my first post here. I'm tasked with flying the Arriflex SR3 on my Zephyr and I know I have to get some attachments to be able to do that. From my understanding I need a second battery plate with the ability to switch between serial and parallel in addition to cable adapters for the camera. However, when I searched Tiffen for any official 2nd plate for Zephyr I couldn't find any. I've been scouring the forums to find anything of use and I've found some stating that the Zephyr is able to fly 24V with some attachments, since everything else is already wired in - but that's pretty much it. Is there anywhere else I could find a suitable plate and is there anything else I am missing? Please correct me if I'm wrong and hit me with your wisdom. Thanks.

  23. I'm interesting purchasing a Steadicam Sled, Aero or Zephyr.
  24. I'm interesting purchasing a Steadicam Zephyr with V-Mount.
  25. Hey everyone, Hopefully quick question here. I have the Zephyr and I'm prepping it for resale. I've been running a separate Marshall HD monitor on my Steadicam, pretty much since owning it. But, at some point along the way, I seem to have misplaced my power/video cable that connects to the OEM Steadicam SD monitor. It's a funky 9-pin connector and I can't seem to find a place to purchase replacements anywhere. Either through Tiffen (although I'd open that someone like Alan Rencher might be able to make it for cheaper than what I'd imagine Tiffen would sell them for. Does anyone know where I can find this cable? Should I go through Alan to see if he can build it custom? I'd like to be able to sell a functioning monitor with the kit. Any help is appreciated!
