  1. I'm a one-man run'n'gun sorta guy; I've worked with my mirrorless out of a Ronin-M that all fits in a backpack for years. Naturally, electronics and motors being what they are, the gimbal has acted up one too many times at critical moments, making the relatively foolproof mechanics of a Steadicam rig start seeming attractive. The immediate gear-bloat makes me uneasy though. All of a sudden, flying a mirrorless on a steadicam seems like a waste, I'm going to need more batteries, look into a FIZ unit... I know they offer "backpacks" for steadicams, but I could probably fit myself in one of those they're so huge. And then, a couple thousand dollars into a rig that is merely the first rung of an entire field, one that I'm not sure I want to sacrifice my knees for. Who is the Aero-15 for? Should I look into a used Aero-30/Zephyr instead? Or just stay away from it entirely?

  4. $4800 for everything Read below for everything in this package I am selling my new condition Steadicam Aero 30 system. I have never used the Steadicam, Arm, Vest or Steadimate, the Ronin-M has been used twice. Selling as I purchased for a production that didn't materialize, the screen cover is still on the monitor of the steadicam. The Vest has just been in a box with the Arm, and the steadicam has been sitting on it's stand. I have once mounted a plate and balanced a camera in anticipation but never used. 8. Hi need help with the swaying issue. I don't know if it's an issue or its just normal I am new to Steadicam and this is my first Steadicam. I tried sony alpha 7sii and also with 5d mark 3 and 4. After performing static and dynamic balance the sled is swaying slightly. I have also tried different drop time from 1 sec to 3 secs its the same for every change that I make. Its a brand new Steadicam. Also when I wear the vest and arm and perform a walk the swaying shows up. Let me know if I am doing something wrong or is it normal for a little sway.
  9. Hi Guys I just took the plunge and bought the Aero with the A-30 arm. I assisted some more experienced guys before and they all had steadicam cases and what not, but mine only came with cardboard packaging. Just curious what you guys would recommend for me to get so I can travel with it. Thanks in advance Chris
  10. Hi all, I recently purchased a Steadicam Aero 30 and had the chance to test it out with a Sony PMW-500, here's one of the shots I'm pleased with. I had previously been practising with my Canon 5D which was challenging as I couldn't get a HDMI from the camera to the monitor. It took me a while to get used to balancing a heavier camera but it felt much better to use compared to a DSLR. I'm still working on keeping my corners and horizon straight. Any other suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks, Matt
